Candy Cane Abstract Stripes (featuring W7 mini polishes)

Hello beauties & happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a lovely Black Friday weekend. Mine was busy–obviously… retail life–but surprisingly fun. & I’m finally starting to feel the holiday vibes. So I’m starting to dig into all my kind of Christmas-y polishes.

Recently I picked up a little polish mini set from Marshall’s by the brand w7. They had a whole selection of mini packs, so I decided to pick the one named “Centre Stage” which had 4 very Christmas-y colours, & a clear top coat. I’ve been staring at this little set for a few weeks now, sitting on my desk, so I decided to finally grab it & create a pretty, & festive, nail art look.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-chip Top Coat
  • w7 White
  • w7 Red
  • w7 Green
  • w7 Gold Dazzle
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

How freaking festive is this nail art look? I love it! These were the perfect nails to wear for Black Friday for sure. Unfortunately, they got a bit chipped up, but other than that I absolutely adore this look. I did a similar version last year, but when you find a nail art look you love, why not keep returning to it!

Plus abstract stripes are so easy to do. They’re very hard to mess up, & even if you kind of do, they’re easy to fix any messes.

Bronze-y Abstract Stripes (Featuring OPI)

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday. It’s a rainy Tuesday here — in fact it’s supposed to be rainy all week, capping off with a potential Hurricane on Saturday. So that’s… fun. We’ve had such beautiful weather the last few weeks, I think I got spoiled, because I am not here for rainy days.

But! I have a fun nail art look to share that I wore last week during sunnier times. I was feeling some Autumnal colours, & decided to pull a few beauties from my OPI display to create this fun abstract stripe look. It’s giving me 70s vibes.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fast Dry Top Coat
  • OPI I’ll Have A Gin & Tectonic
  • OPI Bronzed to Perfection
  • OPI Icelanded A Bottle of OPI
  • OPI I Sing In Color
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

How fun are these!? Obviously, with my super short nails, I’ve been struggling a bit on inspiration, but abstract stripes always make me happy to paint my nails. Plus these colours look awesome together. Thankfully, my middle finger nail is finally growing out enough I can shape it to match the others.

What do you think about this abstract stripe look? Do you think this colour combination is as fun as I do? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below, & share what you’re wearing on your nails right now!

Autumn Fan Brush Splatter Nail Art

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! We’re officially a full week into September, & the Autumn vibes have been strong — with the perfect early September weather to match. I’ve been fully immersing myself in all things pumpkin spice, while wearing my absolute favourite knee high boots.

So obviously, I need some nail art to match.

I’ve been rocking some serious shorties lately, thanks in part to a wicked break on my middle finger (hence why it’s so wonky). So I’ve been feeling a bit… uninspired nail art wise. One nail art look I have been loving though is splatter nails! They’re easy, fun, & I’ve never done one that I didn’t love.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Know The Espa-Drille
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Cinna-snap
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Zip Wine
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Midnight Drive
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Golden Glow
  • Fan Brush Nail Art Brush (mine was purchased at either Claire’s or Icing)

How funky are these? I just love how fun this colour combination is together, & it’s combining all the colours I love for Autumn — but on a light base. I usually go with the Saran Wrap technique for my nail art, but I thought I would try out with a fan brush, & I’m really happy with the end result. They’re just so much fun!

What do you think about these splatter nails? Do you like this fun splatter design? Let me know what Autumn nail art you’re rocking right now — or if your holding onto Summer nails as long as possible.

Autumn Vibes & Abstract Stripes 🍂

Happy September 1st! 🍂🍁

We are officially in my favourite months — the “-ber” months! & my favourite months for nail polish & nail art. We’ve got dark colours, all the knee high boots a girl could dream of, & the best season for coffee drinks! So obviously now it’s September, that means I can really dive into my favourite Fall nail art designs without feeling judged for it being “too soon”.

Today’s look is another one of those abstract stripes designs I love so much. This time, I wanted a few more Fall colours because let’s just be honest, I’m obsessed. Haha. I decided on a lighter base colour, with some darker accent stripes. & I think the combination is absolutely perfect!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • Quo Beauty Just Peachy
  • Essie Under the Twilight
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Zip Wine
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Ski Bunny
  • Sally Hansen MG Black-O
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush
  • Teeny dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

I love love love this colour combination. I know that peach is usually more of a Spring colour, but I feel like it works perfectly paired with the darkness of Zip Wine & Under the Twilight. Plus it’s a fun, easy design to do, & can pair with an assortment of outfits. For example: this cute peach dress my MIL bought for me at the thrift about a month ago. How cute do these look paired together? Who else loves parking nail art looks together with their everyday outfit choices — or is that just me?

Summer Bright Abstract Dots

Features Gifted Product in Exchange for Content

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday! I hope everyone’s week is off to a lovely start.

I’m actually excited because I’ve been creating some fun nail art lately. I’ve been inspired by my nail polish, & sunny days, & bright colours. So I’ve been creating a bunch of fun, & easy, nail art looks lately. There is something about painting my nails that just makes me feel a little less stressed, & right now I will take all the stress relief I can get.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel x Friends A Moo Point
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel x Friends Yellow Taxi
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel x Friends Laven-door
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel x Friends How You Bluein’?
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel x Friends The One With the Teal
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Black-O
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

This look was partially inspired by this manicure I did a few Summers back, but decided to brighten up the colour scheme a bit.

Also my little girl decided she really wanted her nails painted like Mummy, so I decided to recreate this nail art on her tiny little nails, & I’m quite impressed with how they turned out! It was surprisingly easy, even on her tiny little nails. I always get really excited when she asks me to paint her nails, especially when she wants her nails painted like me.

What do you think about this abstract dot looks? I’m still really loving these bright & fun Sally Hansen x Friends Miracle Gel collection. They’re just so much fun for Summer.
