Blue Abstract StripesĀ 

I know, I know. I’ve been a very bad blogger. I promise there is a VERY good excuse, and as soon as I can share I will! But, in the mean time, how about some abstract stripes? 

I was going through my polishes the other night, and it occurred to me it had been too long since I pulled out my bottle of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (the original version!) Decided I had to wear it–it’s just so pretty!–I paired it with one of my favourite go to designs, abstract stripes. 

The polishes used for the manicure were:

  • Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny
  • China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le
  • Sally Hansen I ā™„ļø Nail Art pen in navy blue. 
  • Essie Gel Setter


I love how these kind of ended up looking like waves, which is kind of perfect when wearing a polish named Pacific Blue! After what seems like way too long with barely any nail art, I’m trying my best to get back into nail art. Hopefully that means I get back into posting more often too!

Retro abstract Stripes.Ā 

So I think retro abstract stripes are my new favourite. They’re so easy to do and there are so many colour options. This mani was inspired by my brand new Spring tank top from Ardene.

Is this not the cutest shirt ever? šŸAnd it goes so perfectly with my nails! I hope I’m not the only one who matches her nails to her outfits!

Can you believe it? The end of the month is already upon us! Crazy. It definitely was not easy picking just  6 manicures for my monthly mani favourites… January saw some pretty fun nail art! (And a whole lot of Matte top coat šŸ˜)

 I’m just in love with all the manicures I’ve done so far this year, and I can’t wait to get into some Valentines Day manicures.

Another Go at Abstract Accent NailsĀ 

Does anyone remember this manicure from August 2014? Back from the days of my old Blackberry and less than stellar photo quality.  I thought it would be fun–since I’m struggling for inspiration lately–to give an old mani a redo! And since I loved these accents nails so much the first time, it seemed like the perfect choice.

Embracing the Abstract accent nails.

The other day, while starting to do my nails, I wasn’t sure what exactly to do. I wanted to create some kind of accent nail, and so I just started doodling and ended up with these. Totally random and abstract. But considering I hadĀ  no real plan going in, the end result actually looks like maybe I planned these all along. They were so fun I actually ended up wearing them for two whole days–which is a big accomplishment for me.

So what do you think of these abstract nails? They were fun to wear for my fabulous adventure around the city with my favorite gay boyfriend. And even though it was full on summer heat, I still had to get myself a Pumpkin Spice Latte because they are officially back! Pretty nails, fabulous company, and a delicious drink. What more could a girl ask for? =)
