GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Wreath 🌲

Hello lovelies & happy Christmas Eve Eve! Today we have another fun prompt for Glam Nails Challenge December — Wreath.

I can’t believe how quickly we’re speeding through these designs!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Red Carpet (one coat layered over China Glaze Slay Bells Ring)
  • Essie Off Tropic *
  • Essie Expressie Main Character Moment *
  • Color Club What’s The Matte-r
  • Essie Gel Couture Rock the Runway
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

I had this idea about half moon wreaths with one big wreath accent. I think this is a cute & easy look you can get done easily. The bow on my big accent finger is a little wonky, but I still think they turned out really cute. The green pops on the red, & gives off big Christmas-y vibes.

What do you think about these wreath nails? Are they give big Christmas vibes? Let me know what you think? & don’t forget that you can see all the beautiful designs using the hashtag #glamnailschallengedec24 on Instagram.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Santa Claus 🎅

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! Today is exciting because it’s our second prompt of Glam Nails Challenge December!

Todays prompt is Santa Claus & I’m laughing at myself because I thought this look was totally a genius idea — turns out it’s exactly the same as the Santa Claus look I did last year (only with a bit more sparkle added!) I guess what they say is true — if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Good Cheer-y
  • NailStuff Essentials White Dove *
  • Essie Making Spirits Bright
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Please excuse the red staining of the negative space part of my nails — a leftover from the pink polish in my previous post. But I love these regardless — even with the déjà vu of it all. I do think I’m more drawn to the shimmer & sparkle this year though. Just give it a little more Holiday Magic!

What do you think of my Santa nails for Glam Nails Challenge December? Don’t forget that you can follow along with all the designs this month with the hashtag #glamnailschallengedec24.

Happy Friday!

SWATCH SUNDAY — OPI Fire Escape Rendezvous (OPI Holiday 2016 Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection)

Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! I hope everyone has been having a lovely weekend. I actually had this weekend off from work, so I’ve been relaxing & enjoying doing a whole lot of nothing — especially since Holiday shopping craziness is really kicking into high gear!

Today I’m excited to share another fun OPI Holiday shade, this time from 2016! This is Fire Escape Rendezvous.

2 coats + top coat

The formula on this shade is pretty easy to work with. The base is a beautiful almost metallic blood red filled with a slew of different shaped silver glitters. They create an interesting texture on the nail, as the base is thin enough to show them off, but still buries them slightly. I know not everyone loved this shade when it first got released — it’s not as hated as say, Pineapples Have Peelings Too, but it wasn’t universally loved. Personally, I love it & its uniqueness. Plus, it’s one of those reds that when I wear it, I’ve had people literally go “Oh your nails!

I remember being so beyond excited when OPI released this Breakfast At Tiffany’s collection for Holiday 2016, because it’s been one of my favourite movies as long as I can remember. Back when it was first released (8 years ago… how crazy is that?!) I was 7 months pregnant with my son, so buying the whole collection wasn’t in my budget, but I did find this red shade at my local Marshall’s & naturally had to snap it up.

I just think it’s so unique & different, & as someone who owns a ton of reds, I like one that it slightly different.

Do you remember Fire Escape Rendezvous from the OPI Holiday 2016 collection? Do you own any of the shades from this Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Happy Sunday

& my first Halloween look to share are some freehand drippy blood nails!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Essie Bourdeax *
  • Ella + Mila Everglow *
  • Essie Gel Couture Rock the Runway *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

I always love when people post their drippy blood nails, so I had to give it a try. The red on red also looks very cool! These would be an awesome manicure to wear if you were doing like a vampire costume. Kind of reminds me of Drusilla from Buffy!

What do you think of my drippy blood nails for Halloween? Have you picked your Halloween nails yet? Let me know all your thoughts & let me know what you’ll be wearing.

Have a great Monday!
