Glittery Blood Drip Nails 🩸✨

Hello lovelies & HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🎃 My most favourite day of the year has arrived, & obviously I couldn’t let it pass by without one more design on my nails! & this one is fun because it kind of fits the vibe of my costume for work.

I always love a blood drip design on my nails, but this year I wanted to make it more fun by using a glittery red. Because who doesn’t want to bleed sparkle.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist (purple)
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Midnight Drive
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Red It Twice
  • NailStuff dotting tool trio
  • NailStuff 7mm Mermaid Tail liner brush

Check out that beautiful drip! This is not the first time I’ve attempted a go at this design, but I will say I think it’s the most proud of the freehanding of my drips! They actually look like they could be blood dripping down my nails!

I also think it shows that even if you’re rocking shorter nails (like I am right now), you can see have fun & awesome nail art on them!

What do you think of my final Halloween look of 2025? This has been such a fun month of nail art, & I’m super proud of every design I crafted this month!

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone has a safe & fun evening— with a ton of your favourite candies!

Deep Wine Red with Sparkly Glitter Placement

Good morning lovelies & happy Friday! & happy The Life of a Showgirl release day to my fellow swifties! I’m going to one of the showings tonight with a friend for the album, after I get off work, & we decided to go in blind without pre-listening, so today is going to be a serious test of my willpower!

But in the meantime, how about a little sparkle. We are in full October vibes now, & while I am having so much fun doing Halloween designs for the Glam Nails Challenge, I thought I would switch it up a bit with just a little dark glitter placement.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist (purple)
  • Revlon Color Stay Gel Envy Heartbreaker
  • Essie Nail Art Studio Glitter Separated Starlight

Okay I don’t want to sound too conceited, but like how freaking glamorous do these nails look? I absolutely adore how they turned out. The sparkle is kind of subtle, but not subtle. It’s definitely an everyday kind of glamour, & perfect for these Autumn October days! Also, no tools required which I always love because sometimes I’m just too tired to spend an hour on something more complex (especially when I have to be up at 5:30am to get ready for work!)

So what do you think of this design? I know it’s not a groundbreaking nail art look, but I think it just looks so pretty. Definitely my go to when I want something chic, but not complex. & just a little bit subtle.

Happy Friday!

SWATCH SUNDAY — Sally Hansen InstaDri Just In Wine 🍷

Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday! What a beautiful last day of August. Can you believe that tomorrow is September 1st, & the (unofficial) start of all things Autumn! Give me all things pumpkin spice, cinnamon, apple crisp, knee high boots & crunchy leaves.

Today I’m keeping with that theme with a very on season nail polish colour. It’s also from my favourite colour family: red. This is Sally Hansen InstaDri Just in Wine.

2 coats + top coat

If you’re looking for a stunning red adjacent shade to wear this Fall, look no further than this gorgeous cream that falls somewhere between a burgundy & a cranberry. The formula goes on smooth, & dries to a nice finish. & a swipe of top coat gives it a beautiful extra glossy finish.

I looked this beauty up online, & it looks like it’s no longer in circulation which is a shame. It’s such a stunning colour, & I love the Autumn vibes it gives off. Sally Hansen InstaDri certainly has a few dupe-worthy shades that fit this Autumn aesthetic, so definitely check out the others in the line!

What do you think of InstaDri Just in Wine? Are you a fan of this Autumnal shade? Would you wear it? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below, & let me know what shade you’re excited to wear!

SWATCH SUNDAY — Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ruby Do

Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday! I hope you’re having a beautiful start to your day. It’s been a busy couple of days, so I’m really relishing my cup of coffee this morning.

It’s Sunday! & the first swatch Sunday of August. I was perusing my nail polish stash, & realized I have quite a few shades I’ve never shared on here! So I decided pick one of those shades to share with you, & the one that caught my eye first was Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ruby Do.

2 coats + top coat

This beautiful dark berry shade is a current member of the Sally Hansen CSM core line up, so it is available anywhere you purchase Sally Hansen nail polish. I do love the cream formula, & it applied quite smoothly. I believe my bottle was gifted by my Mother in law around 2017, so it’s going strong after almost 8 years. Love that!

The colour is very Autumn-esque, but I think it’s a great August transitional shade, before I really dive into the Autumn colours. It’s not too dark or jewel toned. (& you could pair it with some brighter purple & turquoise for some fantastic nail art!)

Give me any red & I am a happy girl.

What do you think about Sally Hansen CSM Ruby Do? Are you a fan of this beautiful berry shade? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below! I’d love to know what you think.

Happy Sunday

Villain-esque Half Moons

Hello loves & happy Friday! & happy first day of August — how crazy is that?

How is everyone enjoying their week so far? I’ve been enjoying the very warm temperatures while simultaneously dreaming about pumpkin spice lattes & Halloween costumes. I’m a complicated girl, what can I say. I’ve also found myself thinking about Autumn-y nails & nail designs.

Today’s look, I guess, you could call somewhat Autumn inspired. I was thinking about a red on red half moon idea… but then added some shifty top coat, & they turned into something different entirely. I’m calling them villain-esque, because they totally look the part.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier
  • Butter London Saucy Jack
  • Essie Tailored By Twilight *pr
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat Moonlight
  • Paper hole reinforcements

What do you think about this combination? I really like the dark red over the light red, but the addition of the golden shimmer topper really gives it an extra something. Obviously, this look is a little dark for the hot days of August… but I’m a risk taker.

Also I will never not love a half moon manicure. It’s also reminding me I really, really need to play with my nail vinyls more. I have so many just sitting untouched in my folder, waiting to be used. I need to rectify that soon (&maybe get some new ones that are fall themed for the ‘ber months.)

What do you think about these half moons? Do you like this design as much as I do? Are you a fan of the half moons for easy nail art?

Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend!
