Bright & Vibrant Colour Blocking

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! & Happy April! I hope everyone is having a great week so far — it’s been a very, very wet start to our week here, but hopefully that will encourage some beautiful Spring flowers to pop up in our garden.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

I love a good negative space colour block look, but I usually only do it with 2 colours — so I thought I would add a 3rd to change things up a little bit. Plus these colours are so bright & vibrant & completely make me forget the mucky weather we’ve been having — & make me think of Spring & Summer days to come! (Just ignored the raindrops that fell on them while I was trying to take pictures.)

Purple & Pink Abstract Stripes

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday. Can you believe that we’re almost out of March? It’s crazy this year is almost 1/4 done already, but I am definitely happy to feel Spring coming.

Today I’m pulling out one of my favourite go to designs of years past. With the exception of floral (lots, & lots of floral) I haven’t really been feeling inspired nail art wise. So I turned to nail art of years past to figure out what design to show off on my nails.

It’s been a while since I did one of these abstract stripe designs, & that is just too overdue. I love the pinks & purples & blue all paired together — they’re super bright & fun!

The kind of nails you want to wear as the weather is getting warmer.

Pink & Purple Stained Glass Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Friday.

I won’t lie — this has been an incredibly difficult week personally. But I’m pushing through, because if one thing painting my nails (& blogging) does, is it helps my mental health. & pretty nails always make me happy.

Today’s look was a quick stained glass look I did the other night featuring Essie. I’ve been wearing a lot of the Essie in my stash lately! They just have such a beautiful variety of colours to choose from.

I think these turned out so pretty. I love these colours together. Pink & purple are always my favourite colours to combine. & I think this is such a pretty Spring-y combination — that isn’t floral. Don’t get me wrong, I love floral (& I have a ton of floral to come!)

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Christmas Lights

This week has been a rough one for painting my nails & getting them posted. I’ve had a never ending headache/migraine. Plus my holiday vibes are nonexistent this year. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it doesn’t feel like almost Christmas to me.

But! I did get the next prompt for Glam Nails Challenge December created which was Christmas Lights. This was inspired by a look I saw on Pinterest & thought was neat. So I decided to do my own twist on it.

I really tried to do some kind of peakaboo snowflakes with Making Spirits Bright but they’re more hidden than I was planning on. The sparkle does look really pretty in person though.

Holiday Tartan 🧣🎄

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! A chill-y Monday here on the East Coast. I am so not a winter girlie, that is for sure! But, I do love Winter nail art, so I guess it’s a Catch 22.

Today’s nail art look screams holiday vibes. If there is one thing you can count on in the cooler months, it is that I will be rocking some plaid/tartan nails. & these ones are inspired by my family tartan that I grew up wearing every Christmas without fail.

I’m not going to lie, I am so freaking proud of how this plaid turned out! Sometimes when I attempt a plaid, it turns out unintentionally chaotic, but this one turned out so close to the actual tartan that I almost cried. Okay, maybe that’s a smidge dramatic — but I was very very happy! & proud.
