Blue Jewel Drag Marble Nails 💎

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. & Happy September 1st! It maybe not be Fall to most people — or, okay, the calendar, but September 1st definitely feels like the beginning of Fall to me. So you can probably look forward to seeing more & more Autumn-eque designs moving forward.

Today’s look was what happens when it’s late at night & I’m stick on nail ideas. I wanted to paint my nails, but I was uncertain with what I should do. Naturally, I decided on a drag marble. I think they turned out really pretty, so I’m excited to share them with you!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Essie License to Thrill
  • Essie Get Your Grove On
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • Smallest dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

How beautiful did this turn out? Honestly, sometimes I do drag marbles & I hate the result –they get a bit muddled — but I think the colours on this one really compliment each other, & it turned out really looking like some kind of stone/marble.

What do you think of this drag marble design? Do you like this colour combination as much as I do? How does the beginning of a new month have you feeling? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Negative Space Purple Gold Shatter Accent Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday. It’s a rainy one here on the East Coast.

Today I’ve got some brand new nail art to share with you, that was inspired by a design my coworker showed me from Pinterest! I loved the negative space with gold foil, so I decided I recreate it with a more me colour — purple!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • OPI Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs
  • Essence Steel-ing the Scene
  • Dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

How fun is this look?

It was actually super easy to do, which make me happy. I decided to go with a gold shard glitter, instead of gold foil, but I think the overall look hits the same! & I was excited to pull out this purple shade, because it’s been a really, really long time since I last wore it. I forgot how pretty it was!

What do you think about this fun negative space accent look? Where do you get your nail art inspiration from? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Autumn Floral 🌼

Hello lovelies & happy Monday!

I hope everyone is having a lovely start to their week. I’m feeling all the Autumn vibes. I had my first pumpkin spice latte, I found my favourite Halloween candy in store; I am ready for Fall to begin. So naturally, that means I’m ready for Fall manicures & nail art to begin.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • J Cats Beauty PNP105
  • Essie Check Your Baggage
  • Essie Chocolate Cakes
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Up to Snuff
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Thyme is Money
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (11mm liner brush)

It’s been way too long since I last wore some floral on my nails, & this colour combination feels perfectly Fall inspired. It even compliments my coffee cup. The base shade has been sitting in my stash for a while — I think I scored it for like 99 cents at a random pharmacy — but I’m glad I decided to randomly pull it out to wear. The colour is very, very pretty.

What do you think about this Fall floral design? Do you like this colour combination, & does it scream Autumn to you? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below.

SWATCH SUNDAY — Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri Collection

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello loves & happy Sunday! I know we may be sick of the Sally Hansen x InstaDri content this week, but I’m just so excited to share the shades from this collection with you!

The Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri collection consists on 10 polishes — 4 creams, 2 glitter toppers, 2 metallic/shimmery shades, & 2 jelly glitters. It’s a great assortment of different shades brought together under one great collection. There is also a fun set of press on nails as part of their Salon Effect Perfect Manicure line (although I won’t be featuring those as part of my swatches.

Each shade is based around a corresponding Sesame Street character (or, characters) which is a fun idea. & I think all the polishes fit perfectly!

So now onto the swatches!

Sally Hansen x Sesame Street Half Moons

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! The last Friday of August, if you can actually believe it. I can’t believe how quickly this Summer is speeding by, but by the cool mornings we’ve been having around here, I know Autumn is well on its way. Also, I may or may not have enjoyed my first pumpkin spice latte of the year this morning.

So, seeing as I’m feeling Fall vibes, I decided to try & create a Fall-esque design using a few more of the Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri shades I recently received. I thought these colours would absolutely scream Fall together… but truthfully, I’m getting more Michelangelo from the Ninja Turtle vibes instead.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri SCRAM!
  • Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri Up To Snuff
  • Paper Hole Reinforcements

I do love both these colours separately, so I figured they would pair well together. &, they do, but didn’t quite hit the Fall vibes I was going for. But, Mikey is my favourite Ninja Turtle so I can’t be too upset about this accidental Ninja Turtle look. & a half moon design is always a good (& easy!) look to wear.

What do you think of this Fall inspired/Ninja Turtle half moon design? Which them do you think it hits most accurately? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!
