(Even More) Cactus Nails

Good morning lovelies. I hope you’re not sick of cactus nails yet! I was inspired by my brand new make up from my previous post, so obviously I had to create some nails to match!

Cactus pattern nails have become a serious favourite design of mine to do, & I love how each nail design always turns out just a little bit different.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Essie Turquoise & Caicos
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • Essie First Timer
  • Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Black Heart
  • Nailstuff.ca 4mm micro detail brush {PR sample}
  • Nailstuff.ca dotting tool {PR sample}

How cute are these? I know I’m slightly bias, but I really like how these turned out. I think adding the black detailing really makes the design pop out more on the nail & reminds me of a pillow I have. Originally I was going to try & do some stamping, but I couldn’t find the plate I was looking for, so freehanding it is! & using my super tiny detail brush from NailStuff.ca was perfect for this tiny little design.

{PR sample}

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! Today I’ve got a fun nail art look to share with you featuring the whole range of polishes from the brand new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Neon collection for Summer 2019.

This collection was sent to me courtesy of Sally Hansen Canada. The PR package was just adorable & included a super cute neon yellow Aldo bag. I’ve been seriously craving neons since the weather started warming up, so receiving this collection was beyond exciting & I couldn’t wait to start playing around with these polishes!

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Electri-Lime
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Fuchsia Fever
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Lemon Chillo
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Miami Ice
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Peach Please
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Violet Voltage
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Blacky-O
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush
  • NailStuff.ca dotting tool from Dotting Tool Trio

It’s been a while since I did a complicated freehand look that wasn’t floral, so I was a bit nervous about my freehand lines. But I was so happy with how these turned out! These polishes are so bright & colourful, & just make me feel serious Summer vibes! 🕶☀️ Just makes me want to break out out my favourite bikini, throw on my sunbird, & take a trip to the beach.

I have actual swatches of these shades coming up, but I couldn’t wait to create some fun nail art. I’m looking forward to a whole bunch more of nail art looks to come!

If you’re looking for these vibrant Sally Hansen Canada Miracle Gel shades, you can find them in stores. Shoppers Drug Mart currently has them available in stores & on their website for $12.99. I’m not 100% sure if these are a Canadian exclusive, but I would definitely check out stores as these shades will be popping up in stores as the Summer continues!

Blue & Holo Negative Space Colour Blocking

Good morning lovelies & Happy Friday! The countdown to the weekend is officially on… unless you work in retail or customer service & then what is a weekend? Haha.

Today I have another new manicure to share with you — I know, I’m on a roll. This time I’m throwing it back with some negative space colour blocking. This manicure idea popped in my head the other night when I was trying to figure out what to do on my nails including exactly the colours that I needed to use. & thankfully the sun decided to come around so I could show you this manicure in the light it deserves.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

It’s been so long, too long, since I pulled out my bottle of A Pirate’s Life from Wrenn Polish & I thought it would look so pretty with a holo accent so I grabbed Happy Thoughts too. In regular light the holo kind of hides a bit, but as soon as you hit bright light BAM! 💥 There it is! You can’t miss those gorgeous rainbows. & I just love how this design turned out, especially since the whole manicure took me less than 20 minutes & didn’t need any tools or tape — just a steady hand.

what are you wearing on your nails for the weekend? I’m going to (hopefully) redo my nails tonight so leave any nail art suggestions down in the comments below!

Red Floral Nails for World Hemophilia Day

Good morning lovelies! Today I’ve got some brand new nail art to share with you, which was created with a special cause in mind. Today, April 17th, is World Hemophilia Day & my friend Victoria from @hitchingsandstitchings reached out to her friends in the polish community to wear red nail polish (or nail art!) today as her two beautiful little guys have this condition. Even though my nail art has been sparse at best the last few months, I know I had to join in the help spread awareness for this cause!

& obviously I couldn’t just wear red polish… there had to be some nail art involved. & what looks better with red polish than roses.

For this design, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • China Glaze Seas the Day
  • Essie Blanc
  • Sally Hansen Red it Online
  • Sally Hansen Berry Fancy
  • China Glaze Life is Rosy
  • Sally Hansen Terracotta
  • Sally Hansen I ♥️ Nail Art Pen in Black
  • Essie First Timer
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Quo by ORLY Detox my Socks Off
  • NailStuff.ca dotting tool
  • NailStuff.ca detail brush

I love this combination of reds & even more I love that this nail art was done 100% with love for a great cause. ♥️ & if you’re wearing red nails (or just red in general today!) don’t forget to tag it with #redforHemophilia on Instagram!

have a lovely Wednesday! ♥️

Pink Drag Marble with Gold Glitter

Hello lovelies & Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone is recovering from the time change this past weekend. I’m currently trying to recover from another fantastic cold, but I did manage to get my nails done before it struck me down this weekend! & it was so exciting to play around on my nails.

& what was I feeling? A drag marble. & oh boy was I rusty!

The polishes I used for this manicure:

  • Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • Ardene ACO Dashing
  • Ardene ACO Road to Nowhere
  • Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Black Heart
  • Sinful Colors Twilight Twinkles
  • Nailstuff.ca dotting tool

It’s been forever since I attempted any kind of drag marble design & my base shade (Ardene Dashing) was a little too quick drying which added some difficulty to my look. But the more I look at this design, the more it’s grown on me. I added a bit of gold glitter flakes which I’m not sure if it added to the design, but I was a little haphazard with my placement.

& my favourite nails? My thumb & my pinky. The design on both definitely turned out be best. As you can see, the swirl on my thumb looked just perfect. If only every nail had turned out this amazing.

What do you think of this look? Which nail do you think turned out best? Which colour combo do you think I should try next?
