Autumn Abstract Stripes

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a lovely week so far. I’ve been busy with work, but I did managed to get some cute new short nail art done this week. I found a set of Color Club shades I bought at Marshals last year (no names on them) & really wanted to combine the colours into a pretty nail art look.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Color Club blue-ish grey
  • Color Club grey
  • Color Club dusty rose
  • Color Club wine
  • Color Club dark rose
  • 16mm Striper (from NailStuff.ca)

I did a previous skittlette design using these back in August, but I really wanted to combine them in another look. Originally I had wanted to do something with nail vinyls, but after mucking that up, I decided on this cute look. Abstract stripes never do me wrong.

What do you think about this Autumn inspired abstract stripes. I think the grey base gives that frosty feeling, so it works for a November design. I’m still feeling a bit of lack of inspiration lately, being between holiday seasons, but I feel like I’ll be back into my groove in no time!

Have a fantastic Friday loves! 🖤

Chic Red & Gold Plaid

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! It is a very, very chilly Wednesday at that. It is officially creeping into Winter, & not at all slowly. Guess I’ll need to do some snowflake nails soon!

Today though, I’m sharing a design I did last month, & it’s the last big of nail art I have featuring my longish nails. Time to jump into short nail nail art again! Today’s look, though, is perfect for these in between holidays days.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
  • OPI Just Be-Claus
  • OPI Rolling in Cashmere
  • Essie Lady Like
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Ghouls Night Out
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm striper brush

I absolutely adorable all things plaid — in fact I’m wearing my favourite plaid leggings to work today. Plaid nails are no exception. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re so easy, or if it’s because there is endless colour combinations, but they really are one of my favourites, especially this time of year.

& I’m sure this won’t be the last plaid nail art design I share this season. In fact, I can pretty much bet on it.

What do you think about this chic plaid design? Would you wear this on your nails? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below, & let me know what short nail designs you’d like me to create & share!

Enjoy your Wednesday! 🖤

Instagram Coffee Nail Art Collab ☕️🤎

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! This has been quite a week, so I’m a little happy it’s over — even if it does mean saying goodbye to spooky season. But I did join the monthly nail art collab hosted by @essieyall & @petitenailslover again this month, & I’m super excited to share my design… especially because the prompt is COFFEE!

& if there is one thing I love as much as nail polish , it’s coffee.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essence Colour Grip Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Matte Top Coat
  • Essie Expressie Cold Brew Crew
  • Wet n Wild 2% Milk
  • Acrylic Paint
  • NailStuff.ca 9mm Mermaid Tail Liner Brush

I was going for a latte art design, so I used acrylic paint because I knew that I was going to need to be able to erase any mistakes — & I was right! This look took longer than expected to do, but I think it turned out just like the coffee art I used to do when I was a barista.

& I hope when you look at it, you can totally see what it’s supposed to be!

Don’t forget, you can check out the other designs through the hashtag #coffeenailartmanicollab2023 on Instagram. & down below, you can check out all the fun coffee themed designs collaged together. Everyone did such an awesome job!

What do you think of my coffee design? Does it totally scream latte to you? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

& let me know what your favourite holiday coffee drink is!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER—Zombie 🧟‍♀️

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! & happy Halloween Eve!

Today is our last prompt for Glam Nails Challenge October! Can you believe it?! This is kind of crazy. But I’m very excited because the prompt is Zombie & it gave me an opportunity to recreate a design I saw earlier this month on the Essie instagram.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essence Colour Grip Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Matte Top Coat
  • Essie Willow in the Wind
  • Essie (Un)Guilty Pleasures
  • Essie No More Film
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm Mermaid Tail Liner Brush

When I saw I’m obsessed with this design, I am obsessed. This turned out better than I could have ever imagined, & totally gives off the zombie design I was going for. This is a fantastic Halloween look, & it might be my favourite of all the designs I’ve done this month!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER—Graveyard 🪦💀

Hello loves & happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day. I’m excited, because I have another fun prompt for Glam Nails Challenge October — & I’m super happy with how my latest manicure turned out!

The next prompt is graveyard, & I decided to do something a little bit different than what I usually do. I hope you think it’s as fun & spooky as I do.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Sephora Formula X Hypnotize
  • Fraken Grey
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Ghouls Night Out
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (11mm liner brush)

I had this idea in my head about turning my whole hand into the graveyard by painting a gravestone on each nail, & I think I successfully captured my vision. It makes me really happy that I managed to bring my idea to life!

What do you think about this design? Does the prompt pop right out to you? Can you believe we only have one more prompt left to go? Crazy!

Have a lovely Wednesday. ♥︎
