Purple Holographic Glitter Gradient 💜✨

Happy Wednesday lovelies.

The sun is shining, & that is more than enough reason for some holographic nails! I was feeling some serious glitter, & I think this manicure achieved that.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Here to Stay
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • Color Club Pucci-Licios
  • Nubar Treasure
  • Color Club Top Shelf
  • Starrily Space Debris

Look at that sparkle! ✨ yes, I have quite a few polishes layered to achieve this look, but it’s totally worth it. It’s been a rough week & a half, so a little extra sparkle is totally what the universe ordered. It makes me smile, & feel extra pretty.

What I love is I didn’t even need any tools to achieve this — just a little patience to apply the glitter to my tips! Definitely obsessed with the over all sparkle, especially when I’m in the sunshine.

How do we feel about these extra sparkly gradient nails? Are we a fan? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Have a lovely day!

Rainbow Paint Splatter (Using Acrylic Paint 🎨)

Good morning lovelies & happy Thursday! How is everyone’s week going so far? I hope it’s been filled with beautiful days.

Today I’m sharing a super easy design that was totally inspired by my daughter. I asked her how I should paint my nails, & she told me rainbow 🌈. I haven’t played with my acrylic paints in a while so I decided to use them for a splatter-y effect, & I think it turned out pretty cool!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paint brush
  • Water

These nails were kind of an experiment because I wasn’t sure initially what I was going to create. I ended up applying drops of acrylic paint on my nails, then using the water to make it spread out a bit. My ring & pinky finger probably turned out my favourite of the 5 on this hand, but I definitely know what I’ll do next time to get the look I want.

These were super easy though, & because I was using acrylic paint vs nail polish I could easy erase any mistakes & start over. My only tip is make sure the acrylic paint is dry before applying top coat, otherwise you’ll end up with some smearing & transferring which kind of mucks up the final look a bit (like on my middle finger). Over all though, such a fun quick look to do.

What do you think of this rainbow paint splatter design? Do you love this quick & easy look? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below.

Purple & Turquoise Wavy Stripes

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! It’s a rainy Wednesday here, which is a tad disappointing. But I have some fun vibrant nails to share to shake things up a smidge because I’m so over Winter, & I want all the bright colour.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: China Glaze Fast Forward Top
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Purple Craze
  • Essie Expressie FX Iced Out
  • Essie In the Cab-Ana
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

These were super simple to create. I started with my shimmery purple base, then just drew some wavy lines in a brighter, lighter shade overtop. So easy!

What do you think of these purple & turquoise wavy lines? It’s an easy look to do, but definitely catches the eye. I’m still trying to create fun nails, but lacking in inspiring (even after perusing Pinterest for far too long) but hopefully as the days get warmer, I’ll feel more like painting my nails & creating fun looks!

Enjoy your Wednesday loves! ♥︎

Half Moons on Ultra Shorties

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. I hope everyone is having a feel good Friday so far. We’re currently awaiting another storm — this time rain. Is it Summer yet?

Today I have a classic nail art look on my new ultra shorties. I had a couple terrible breaks recently, which hasn’t helped with inspiring me to paint my nails, but I decided to go with a favourite design — half moons — to cheer me up.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: China Glaze Fast Forward Top
  • Ardene La Luna
  • OPI Infinite Shine Mariachi Makes My Day
  • Paper Hole Reinforcements

I’ve been really feeling the blue nails lately, if you haven’t noticed. They’re just the colours I’ve been reaching for most often. But I love this light & dark colour combination. Plus, I found the best natural lighting at work against this green wall so I had to take my pictures there!

What do you think about these half moons on my ultra short nails? What kind of nail art would you like to see me attempt on these shorties? Let me know down in the comments below, & I’ll try my best to make it happen!

Enjoy your Friday loves. 🖤

Dainty Pink & Blue Dotticure

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! A brand new week which is always exciting. It’s also Valentine’s Day this week, so I expect to be busy at work because who doesn’t want candy for Valentine’s Day?

Today though, I’m sharing my last design I did during my week break from blogging (& before I chopped my nails down short.) In my opinion, a dainty dotticure is always a good idea!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat
  • Essie License to Thrill
  • Sally Hansen I 💗 Nail Art Pen in pink

I am so ready to petition Sally Hansen to bring back these I 💗 Nail Art pens because they just make dotticure & polka dots so freaking easy! Like look at these! I could never get polka dots as clean & as perfect as these with a dotting tool, no matter how hard I try. I’m just absolutely obsessed & I really wish they would bring them back already!

What do you think about this dainty dotticure? Do you love a petite polka dot as much as I do? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!
