Instagram Sun Nail Art Collab ☀️

Hello loves & happy Friday. It’s a bright, sunny & hot Friday which is perfect! I recently teamed up again with a group of Instagram girlies for a fun collab & the theme is perfect for this weather: the sun. ☀️

We actually just went through almost 3 weeks straight of rain so it’s nice to see a bit of sunshine again — even with a very high heat warning.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

This was not actually the original design I did — that one I smeared with top coat. But I do like this one better. I love the pop of yellow over the pink base, & I think my swirly suns turned out perfect.

#GlamNailsChallengeDec — Presents 🎁

Good morning lovelies! I hope everyone had the most amazing Christmas & Boxing Day. Our whole family was very spoiled, & I’ve very much enjoyed celebrating in the place I spent many a Christmas as a kid. ♥️🎄 it also means I’m super late on sharing the next prompt for #GlamNailsChallengeDec: Presents!

Is there anything more beautiful than red & gold. I love how the gold presents pop over this beautiful vibrant red holo polish! Feels very Christmas-y! Also any excuse to wear this amazing shade from Dimension Nails is a good excuse… it’s such a perfect glitter shade for this time of year I knew I had to incorporate it a Christmas design for this year.

Was Santa good to you? Hopefully you were spoiled not just with presents under the tree, but lots of lovely family time & memories. Those are my favourite Christmas presents.

#GlamnailschallengeDec — Christmas Trees

Good morning lovelies & happy Monday! & happy Christmas Eve Eve! We are quickly approaching Christmas & the end of GlamNailsChallengeDec! Today’s prompt for this challenge is Christmas trees! Naturally I went to Pinterest to find a look I liked, & found this tutorial originally posted on Instagram by @thebasecoat.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

TheBaseCoat triangle pattern nail vinyls

For this look I started off by applying the triangle nail stencil to my accent nail, then one at a time applied my colours to the empty spaces to create a triangle on the nail. I followed the Base Coat’s tutorial for colours. It was also way easier using a pre designed nail vinyl than attempting to position striping tape or straight nail vinyls into the same shape.

Honestly this look was too simple to do, but turned out so cute! I think this is such a perfect Christmas Day look—who doesn’t love Christmas trees! & the mixing of colours is very Christmasy. I absolutely lovely it!

#GlamNailsChallengeDec — Santa 🎅🏼

Hello lovelies! We’ve got another prompt for #GlamNailsChallengeDec to share today! & yep… I’m aware that I’m a day behind, but that’s life sometime.

Our second prompt of the challenge is Santa! So in honour of that I decided to do Santa hats over my previous manicure of Icing Stores Santa Baby just to maximize the full Santa effect!

I remember the first time I ever attempted a Santa hat manicure… & I won’t lie, it wasn’t pretty. I’m pretty sure I used a dotting tool to try & draw my lines, which did not turn out very good at all. (Literally just went & found the picture on Facebook so if you’re curious, click here to see my masterpiece.)

I’ve come along way after a lot of practice, & these little hats turned out too cute. The jelly-like finish of Stilettos on the Run show off the glitters underneath, which is really quite cool. I’m digging it a lot.

These feel very, very Christmas-y to me for sure. The colours, the design… there is no denying these are for Christmas! So much fun!

GlamnailschallengeDec — Candles

Good morning lovelies & Happy December 2nd! I thought since December is one of my favourite times of year for nail art, it would be fun to join in another round of GlamnailschallengeDec. I’ve had a ton of fun joining in on these challenges, & I thought this would be a fun way to come up with some new & creative holiday looks!

The first prompt for this month is Candles! At first I was a little stuck on what I wanted to do for this prompt, but after some Pinterest stalking I saw this manicure & decided to use it as my inspiration!

This was my first time attempting a design like this–maybe aside from a birthday candle look forever ago–so I was a little nervous about how they would turn out. But you know what… I absolutely am obsessed with how they turned out. The dark base colour reminds me of the early darkness that comes as we approach Christmas, & the glow of the candles in the window. It really gives me all the fuzzy feelings just staring at my nails.
