Pink Holo Half Moons 🌙

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday.

Trying to post all the designs I did during my hiatus from posting, & I thought this was a fun & easy design. You know I adore half moons, & I love how this one turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist Advanced
  • Top Coat: Essence Colour Shield Top Coat
  • Wrenn Polish Ruby Slippers
  • Essie No More Film
  • Essie Leggy Legend
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio (smallest size)
  • Paper Hole Reinforcements

Half moons are such an easy look. I added my little gold dots to make it a bit more exciting, & I really like how they turned out. Mostly I’ve been leaning into the Spring shades in my collection, but every so often I reach for something darker.

What do you think about these half moons? Do you like this combination of colours?

SWATCH SUNDAY — Reese’s x Sally Hansen InstaDri Feeling Hungry

Hello lovelies & happy Sunday. Well, Sunday. Santa had a late present for our house — the stomach flu. My husband & I have avoided it so far, but it’s struck everyone else down. Ugh.

Today I’m sharing a new(ish) shade, which was released this past Halloween. I haven’t been buying much polish lately, but when I saw clearance at my local Shoppers, I couldn’t say no! I actually picked up two shades, & will share number two next week!

Today’s pick: Reese’s x Sally Hansen InstaDri Feeling Hungry.

2 coats + Top Coat

I’m such a sucker for a purple, & as soon as I saw this crushed metallic purple, I knew I needed it. I’ll be honest, I didn’t pay too much attention when this collection was first released, but I should have because I was missing out on this polish!

Formula is smooth, easy to apply, & coverage is about what you would expect — one coat is too little, but two coats is perfect. Make sure your getting your second coat down near your cuticles though, or else it creates a weird effect.

I also love the InstaDri brushes, because I find they make application easy. (Unless you’re painting them at 11pm with not enough light & create a wonky cuticle line.)

Sadly, this shade was a limited release for Halloween, but check the clearance sections wherever you buy nail polish, because you might get lucky! I purchased this bottle for only $3CAD at my local Shoppers Drug Mart.

What do you think about Sally Hansen InstaDri Feeling Hungry? Do you remember these Reese’s themed shades? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Jingle Bells

Hello loves & happy Wednesday! & happy first day of Glam Nails Challenge December! I couldn’t end this year without participating in this challenge, & I’m excited for the nail art looks to come (I always get so inspired by these challenges!)

The first prompt of our challenge is Jingle Bells 🔔, which was the perfect excuse for these cute nail art stickers I got last Christmas from NailStuff. I really wanted a fun look to start our designs this month, & I think I made it happen!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Essie Expressie Mic Drop-If-Low
  • Sinful Colours Pride
  • Nail Stuff Christmas Holly & Jolly Nail Stickers

Do these not feel like a celebration to you? The bells are so cute, & the glitter from my glitter gradient sort of looks like confetti falling.

These are giving party nails for sure, which is the perfect manicure to start off our challenge this month! & there are so many fun looks to come for December. I’m really excited for all the prompts — hopefully they get me in a more festive mood.

What do you think of this look for my first prompt of Glam Nails Challenge December? Don’t forget that you can follow along with all the designs this month with the hashtag #glamnailschallengedec24.

It’s so hard to believe that we are in our last month of the year, or that Christmas is only 3 weeks away. 2024 has been a whirlwind.

Happy Wednesday

Twinkling Snowflakes ❄️✨

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! Halfway through the week, & only 4 days away from December 1st. Who else hasn’t started their Christmas shopping yet?

Today I’m showing off more glittery nails on my shorties. I was feeling some handprinted snowflakes, since they’ve been all over my Instagram feed, so I decided to give them a go. & obviously, I needed a good base for them to pop over, so I picked some more sparkles. After all, ’tis the season for sparkle!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • CND Vinylux Dark Dahlia
  • Sinful Colours I Miss You
  • Essie Blanc
  • Essie Separated Starlight
  • Nailstuff Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

How pretty did these little snowflakes turn out. I’ve never been the most comfortable free handing my snowflakes, but I was feeling pretty confident after watching way too many tutorial videos. & they turned out absolutely beautiful, & I’m very proud of that.

I’m trying not to get too Christmas-y on my nails yet, as Glam Nails Challenge December starts next Wednesday, & I’m going all in to end this year! There are so many great prompts, so I’m really excited for some fun designs to end this year strong.

What do you think of my twinkling snow flakes? Has it snowed where you are yet? We haven’t had anything more than a couple flurries, but they are calling for a potential snowstorm at the end of the week which is crazy!

Happy Wednesday

Glittery Dotticure

Hello loves & happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

As you may have noticed in yesterday’s post, I’m back to rocking shorter nails. & Sometimes short nails can feel kind of lame, so I decided to do something fun. I’m all about the glitter right now, so I felt like some sparkle was much needed — & I wanted to create another version of this nail art look I did last New Year’s Eve, but with a darker base this time.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • OPI Less is Norse
  • OPI Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

How cute are these little sparkles? I tried my best to get a little sparkle in each dot but it wasn’t always the easiest. Still looks so pretty against the darker blue base shade of Less is Norse.

It’s also giving me Christmas inspo to try this with a white base & green & red glittery polishes!

What do you think of this glittery dotticure on my new shorties? Do you like this look? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below & let me know what you’re wearing right now!
