Crackle & Vintage Roses 🌹

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! It’s a beautiful warm –albeit foggy — start to my Friday, but I’ve been enjoying the very Spring like weather so far. Finally, I’m able to break out all my favourite Spring dresses that have been waiting in the closet for me all Winter. Today, though, I have another floral design to share with you.

Maybe I should change the name of this blog to Coffee, Nail Polish & Floral?

I did do a little mini-vote on my Instagram to see what people wanted to see for my next blog post, & roses were the clear winner! I will say, when I wore this design I got so many compliments about them — including from a male cashier when I went to buy a slushy one night — so they definitely have been a favourite design I’ve recently worn.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Matte Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Heather Hustle
  • Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat Snow Blast
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Berry Fancy
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Racing Rose
  • Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure.  Eco-Rose
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri SCRAM!
  • Sally Hansen I ❤️ Nail Art Pen in Green
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Me, My Elf, & I
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

This design was definitely one of those take took a while but the end result just ends up being totally worth it! I started with a base of crackle over my pale purple because I wanted to give the effect of almost a lace background, then I added my vintage roses overtop. & the end result just looks so pretty, & a bit romantic. I love it!

Hopefully you’re not getting tired of floral, because I’m definitely not going to be tired of it anytime soon — & I do have another floral coming up on my recently broken nails. But I also plan on sharing some non-floral nail designs as well, don’t worry!

What do you think about this crackle & vintage roses design? Are you a fan of this overall look? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below, & share what kind of designs you’d like to see coming up soon!

Happy Friday!

Fun Pastel Abstract Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday!

I hope you’re having the most wonderful week so far. It’s surprisingly chilly today, albeit sunny, so I’ll try to enjoy that. Today I have a fun nail art look I created on a whim, that I couldn’t wait to share. Abstract nails are such an easy nail art look to do, because there is no “right” or “wrong” way to do them. You just basically get to throw some polish on your nails, & you end up with something fun! I love manicures like that.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Tutu At The Ballet
  • Essie Muchi Muchi
  • OPI Infinite Shine Sickeningly Sweet
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Gloss-Sea
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Ghouls Night Out
  • Quo Beauty Stormy Night
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

How much fun! I’m not sure what kind of art I was going for, but these kind of remind me of like early 90s TV opening. A fun look to wear.

What do you think about these fun abstract nails? Would you wear this look? Let me know what abstract design you enjoy the most? Share all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Neon Glitter Gradient ☀️😎

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday! It’s going to be a very nice warm Spring-y Tuesday, so I feel like today’s manicure is perfect for warmer days!

I was feeling something bright, neon & poppy — & this manicure is all of those things!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: LA Girl Rapid Dry Top Coat
  • Ardene Bright Lights, Big City
  • Essie Expressie FX Iced Out
  • China Glaze Let The Beat Drop

These feel really fun. I like the pink/orange glitter over the bright neon yellow— which is not a colour I wear frequently—& the little shimmer from Iced Out.

How much fun are these?! I’m so ready for consistently warmer days.

What do you think of my neon glitter gradient? Is it giving off Summer vibes? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Happy Tuesday!

Y2K Inspired Half Moons & Floral 🌸

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I hope your week has been going beautifully. The weather has been pretty stunning the last couple days (minus the rain currently falling) & it’s feeling like Spring. So let’s break out the Spring nail art designs!

Today’s look is a combination of a design I quite love (half moons) with a little twist. I was checking out 2024 nail art trends, & saw that Y2K was trending — so, as a millennial who grew up during the height of Y2K — I wanted to relive my pre-teen/teenage years.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: LA Girl Rapid Dry Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red It Online
  • Essie Swoon in the Lagoon
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Pretty Peony
  • Essie Muchi, Muchi
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

I think these turned out so, so cute!

When I paired the red & pink together I was a little scared it would look a bit Valentine-y, but with the added flowers it came out super cute. & I think it channels Y2K without being too over the top. It is also giving Spring vibes, which I’m here for. I’ve been wearing a lot of my floral dresses lately, so it pairs perfectly!

What do you think about these half moons? Do you like the combination of nail art? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below, & share what nail art trends you’re loving right now!

Enjoy your Friday. 🖤

SWATCH SUNDAY — Essie Muchi, Muchi

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello lovelies & happy first Sunday of March. We have 17 days until it’s officially Spring, & I cannot wait for warmer days. So let’s channel some Spring vibes with a classic Essie shade: Muchi, Muchi.

3 coats + top coat

Okay, first thing first: three coats for this application, which is not ideal, but the formula is very thin so you need it to build it to escape a patchy, uneven application. I also found I needed top coat to really smooth it out which is a shame. But, the colour is really pale so that kind of comes with the territory.

But the colour is beautiful! This is giving really beautiful Spring vibes, & I’m all about it.

Look at that beautiful pink. The finish is so smooth — it took some work, but the end result is absolutely beautiful. We actually had some lovely Spring-like weather yesterday, so much so I got to wear one of my favourite Spring dresses! I could definitely get used to that. Thankfully, this week is looking pretty good temperature wise, so maybe we’re coming out on the other side of Winter. A girl can dream!

What do you think of Essie Muchi, Muchi? Do you have this classic Essie shade in your collection? What colours are you feeling drawn towards for the impending Spring-like days? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Happy Sunday ♥︎
