Holo Candy Candy Stripes

Good morning lovelies & happy Monday! Trying to get back into my regular posting schedule again, with a Monday post. I feel like things are getting a bit crazy, so it’s been harder lately. But here’s hoping with the holidays coming (& holiday nail art) I can find a more consistent routine!

Today’s look is a classic holiday nail art look — candy cane stripes! Again, this is one that I repeat year after year, but I decided to spruce it up a bit with a little more sparkle ✨.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Holo Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Holographic Top Coat *
  • Essie Making Spirits Bright
  • Essie Off Tropic *
  • Essie Bordeaux *
  • Essie Blanc
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

Are these not giving serious Christmas vibes? I always love a good candy cane stripe design this time of year, because it’s just the right amount of holiday vibes. & they pair perfectly with the holly bush in our front yard.

What are we thinking about this candy cane stripe look? Sometimes I like to go more subtle with this design, but the glitter was just calling to me!

So when do you start your holiday nail art looks? Let me know in the comments below.

Cosy Matte Knit Nails

Good morning lovelies & happy Friday. & happy (almost) weekend! Can you believe we’re halfway through November? I know I say this every month, but it’s truly astonishing how quickly this year is coming to a close.

But I do appreciate all the nail art ideas this time of year! Because there are so many you can do! Today I was feeling some knit inspired nails. This is a design I’ve done before, & it’s perfect for a pre-holiday, late Autumn look.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Matte Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Matte Top Coat *
  • Essie Expressie Feel The Hype*
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny*
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

How cute is this knit effect? It reminds me of the sweaters & scarves I’ve been layering on because it’s been freezing lately — & I get cold easily anyways. This is such an easy look to do, too, & you can use any colour. In fact, I’m already brainstorming a fun Red scarf inspired look in my head.

It’s also the perfect nail art look for any nail length—short of long, it will look great on your nails!

What do you think about this knit inspired nail art look? Do you like the colours & pattern? What nail art are you loving right now? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Happy Friday.

Good morning lovelies & happy Tuesday. Sorry for the unannounced hiatus — after my busy week last week, I woke up Sunday morning feeling like I got hit by a bus thanks to the cold from Hell. Thankfully, I’m finally feeling better today (thank you DayQuil) but I am behind on posting!

Today I’m sharing a fun sparkly design that I think is perfect as we approach Holiday Party Season. & I accomplished this look using the entire Ella + Mila Enchanted (B) collection. I feel like November (& into December) is why my craving for glitter really skyrockets, so expect lots of glitter in the next few weeks as we get into Christmas/Holiday mode!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Ella + Mila All About The Base (Base Coat) *
  • Top Coat: Ella + Mila In A Rush (Top Coat) *
  • Ella + Mila Everglow *
  • Ella + Mila Oasis *
  • Ella + Mila Dragonfly *
  • Ella + Mila Violet Skies
  • Ella + Mila Zephyr *
  • Ella + Mila Aurora Lights *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

Love the negative space base (with some added shimmer thanks to Everglow) & then the stripes of holographic. The sparkle is unbelievable & definitely perfect for any shindig you have coming up to celebrate. Ella + Mila have also just launched some great nail art stripers, so if you’re looking to try out a nail art look like this, I definitely recommend checking them out!

What do you think of these sparkly abstract stripes? Do you think this is a nail art look you could see yourself trying & wearing, especially as we get into party season?

Hello my lovelies & happy Tuesday!

I know, I’ve kind of switched up my usual posting schedule but only because the last little while has been a bit crazy! But I’ve got another fun manicure to share with you, featuring another favourite October polish. & I’m really happy with how the design turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • OPI DS Extravagance
  • NailStuff Essentials Holographic Top Coat *
  • Essie Home By 8 *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

I used to do hand painted swirl designs like this all the time when I first got into nail blogging, but it’s been a while since I did one so it felt like the right time. It’s a cross between like a paisley & a kind of lace design, I guess? I decided to add another layer of holo over my base of OPI DS Extravagance which gave it even more of a POW! effect & I love it.

Just give me all the sparkle. I really, really am craving sparkle, especially with these much shorter days we’ve been having.

What do you think of this holo swirl design? Do you like this hand painted design? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below, & tell me what your favourite holographic polish is!

Happy Tuesday

Spooky Season Holo Skull & Crossbones ☠️🖤

*contains PR

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. I hope everyone’s had a great week so far.

The weekend is almost here & it’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so I expect to be in a full food coma by Sunday night. I thought it would be fun, though, so start my Spooky Season nails with a fun little skull & cross bones design.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

How fun as these?! Again, I got to use another one of those beautiful Essie shades I was recently gifted which is very exciting. Sadly, I wore these on a day when it was cloudy & rainy so the fun holo effect was not showing up very well.

What do you think of this fun holo skull look? Just a little dip into the Halloween nails to come. ☠️ You know me, Halloween is my favourite season for nail art, so I’m excited to share lots of fun designs with you.

Enjoy your Friday!
