Holo Stamped Snowflakes ❄️

Hey beauties & happy Friday!

I’m trying to share at least one non-Glam Nails Challenge design each week, so I thought I would go for some snowflake stamped nails. Our Halifax weather is nothing close to snow right now–it’s currently, as I write this post, warm-ish & raining–so I thought if I wanted snow, I would need to put it on my nails.

& you know what is more fun than just snowflakes on your nails… holographic snowflakes on your nails.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-chip Top Coat
  • Dimension Nails Kronosaurus (c/o: NailStuff.ca)
  • SuperChic Lacquer Throwing Shade (c/o: Nailstuff.ca)
  • Discontinued Born Pretty Store Christmas pattern stamping plate
  • Nailstuff.ca clear stamper & scraper set

Lots of holographic sparkle happening in the sunshine. This was not the easiest to photographic in the bright sun, I won’t lie, but I tried my best to capture the effect. The snowflakes really did show up well though, & I like the snowflake pattern. It’s really pretty.

There is just something about Christmas & snowflake nail art. It’s like Christmas, & watching The Muppets Christmas Carol: it just doesn’t feel like Christmas is coming without it. Also this again is not your traditional Christmas colour scheme, but I still like it. I love red nail polish, but I feel like I can overdo it a bit in December, so I’m trying to ration the red nail designs a bit.

What do you think about this holographic stamped snowflake look? Have you been enjoying all the nail art I’ve been posting so far this month? We’re 17 days away from Christmas, so I’m going to try & show off as many nail art looks as possible before the big day!

Enjoy your weekend loves! & stay safe if you have to go our shopping. Christmas shopping can be dangerous.

Silver Stamping & Wrapping Paper Inspired 🎁

Hello lovelies, & happy Thursday! & happy December 1st! It is officially Christmas season, & the countdown to Christmas is on. I should probably get my shopping done before it gets too crazy, haha.

But — in honour of this brand new festive month, I thought some Christmas wrapping paper inspired nails would be a fun start. I love my Christmas pattern stamping plates this time of year because they have some many fun patterns you can use, which always makes me think of wrapping paper. While I’m dedicated to doing Glam Nails Challenge December, I also want to do some fun other Christmas manicures on my off days.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-chip Top Coat
  • OPI Just Be-Claus
  • ACO by Ardene Dancing Queen
  • Essie No Place Like Chrome
  • NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate (no longer available)

Please excuse my ring finger which was a bit of a mess up, but that’s okay. I love the crisp silver over the sparkly base — OPI Just Be-Claus topped with ACO by Ardene Dancing Queen (which is a sparkly fuchsia pink). It definitely gives off the wrapping paper vibes I was hoping for.

& it also Christmas-y/Holiday vibes while not being out right blatant. & I like that as well.

What do you think about this stamped pattern nails? Do you enjoy the more subtle holiday designs like this, or do you like in your face Christmas vibes?

& let me know what other Holiday nail art looks you might want to see!

Cozy Plaid Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I know, a post on a Friday… I’m feeling crazy. But I have a few cute Autumn nail art looks I haven’t yet posted, so I thought I would try to sneak a few in between Glam Nails Challenge looks.

Today is a simple look, but a repeat favourite. Plaid nails! I’ve been doing this style of nail art a long time, & I never get tired of them. They just make a plain colour a little more fun. Plus, obviously plaid screams Fall as well.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Berry Fancy
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Midnight Drive
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Pedal to the Metal
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Blacky-O
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

This look was super easy to do. Nails painted a simple colour, & then just (carefully) paint some straight lines along the nail to create your plaid pattern. There are definitely a few different ways you can create a plaid pattern, but this is definitely my favourite way to do it. Plus, it’s probably the easiest way to create them as well.

What do you think about this nail art look? Do you like plaid nail art? Are my fellow Canadians excited about Thanksgiving this weekend? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Autumnal Knit Sweater Nails 🍂🌻

Happy Tuesday Lovelies!

I’m very happy to be writing from the world of power, which is a very lovely place to be. We survived our off grid experience, & I feel very lucky to have power, & warm food, because a lot of my fellow Atlantic Canadians are still going without.

Today I’m showing off some fun Autumnal nails I did pre-Hurricane. This look was actually inspired by a nail art look I did last year, & the year before — which was originally inspired by one of my favourite nail bloggers on Instagram: @xglitzandpolishx.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Giorgio Armani #214 Woodstone
  • Essie Mosiac On Down
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

This is such an easy, fun look to wear. I decided that the gold with the shimmery bronze-y brown would be the perfect Fall combination, & I was right! It just screams AUTUMN VIBES to me, & that makes me so happy. I mean, this is my favourite time of year, & I’m feeling inspired to paint my nails, which is always a good thing. Sure, it means there are probably a whole lot of herringbone & sweater nail art looks headed your way, but that’s not a bad thing! Plus we’re days away from October, & I’ll be participating in Glam Nails Challenge October since it’s a Halloween theme.

So more fun nail art is coming!

What do you think about this version of the knit sweater nails? Would you wear this nail art look? What nail art/colour are you rocking this week? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below — including what colour combination I should try next!

Vampy Deep Burgundy Dotticure 🍁

Hello beauties & happy Tuesday!

& happy Starbucks PSL release day for my fellow pumpkin spice lovers. I don’t care what anyone says, I feel like once the PSL is released, Fall is officially on its way. So honour of that, I thought why not go really hard on the Autumn colour scheme… & what is more Autumn than burgundy & gold?

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • Revlon Color Stay Gel Envy Heartbreaker
  • L’oreal Feeling Kilty
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Nothing like a little dotticure action to welcome a new season. I love a dotticure all year round, but especially in the cooler months, & especially when it involves a dark vampy base like this oxblood shade. Doesn’t this just make you want to curl up with a big infinity scarf & cosy knee high socks? I know it’s definitely making me excited to pull out all my Fall fashion favourites.

& there is just enough of a chill in the air to let me know it’s coming very soon!

What do you think about this vampy dotticure? Are you as ready for Fall as I am? Did you stop by Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice latte today? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!
