Silly Jack-o-Lanterns 🎃

I’m continuing on with my fun Halloween looks with another freehand design. I attempted a cute Jack o Lantern look… & this is how it turned out haha. This is definitely not my best freehand design, but I still think it’s super cute (& a good easy look for someone to do.)

My thumb is definitely my favourite of my nails! It turned out how I wish the rest of the nails looked. It was my own fault though, as I used my Quo striper & it’s gotten a bit thick with use. Either way, it’s a fun Halloween look & that’s what this week is all about. 🎃

Bronze-y Autumn Half Moons

Hello loves & the happiest of Fridays! It’s almost the weekend — & I’m excited because we’re going to do some Halloween decorating with the kids tomorrow. It’s my most favourite time of year & I’m absolutely soaking it all in!

Today I have another fun Autumn toned design to share with you. This one is a pretty easy one I feel like anyone can recreate, & it’s definitely eye catching.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

So I totally went out of my comfort zone on the colour scheme of this design, but I feel like it’s really giving Autumn. Not usually an orange/bronze all over girl — normally I probably would have used Kimono Over as my dominant colour — but I really wanted to try something different. & I have to say — I kind of over it. I’m definitely glad I didn’t stick to my comfort zone, & instead tried something new.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE SEPTEMBER (2024) — Pumpkin

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! Can you believe we’re already mid-week for our first week of September. I promise, the allure of Autumn will not be all I focus on… although with these cute nail art prompts for this month, it might be hard! Today though, we have the second prompt of Glam Nails Challenge September & it is pumpkins! Now, with the exception of my beloved pumpkin spice, I tend to relate pumpkins more with October but I did a little Pinterest perusing, & came up with a cute pumpkin look that isn’t too Halloween-y.

When I say I’m obsessed with these — I’m freaking obsessed with these! & I think the fact that my nails are a smidge shorter now actually makes this manicure look better! But these just turned out so cute, & I love the little pumpkins, & I love the shimmer & sparkle. I love everything! Considering I went into this manicure prompt not 100% sure what I was going to end up with, I’m so, so in love with the final result.

SWATCH SUNDAY — Color Club Sidewalk Psychic

Hello beauties & happy September first! Can you believe it? We are into the ‘ber months, which means this year is officially 2/3 of the way over. That is crazy. But, I can’t be too upset because this is truly my favourite time of year so I’m going to embrace every chilly morning & sweater moment I can!

Today I’m starting off this new month with what I feel like is a very Autumn appropriate nail polish pick for this season change: Colour Club Sidewalk Psychic.

2 coats + top coat

This beautiful burnt orange holographic is another stunner from Color Club’s hologprahic line which I’m a huge fan of. It’s a liner holo, so you get that beautiful rainbow all over the nail. It was originally released as part of the 2015 Halo Hues collection, but I scored my bottle at Winners — as I do with a lot of my Color Club shades.

The colour feels absolutely perfect for Fall, because it does have that “leaves changing on the tree” kind of vibe. It’s a bit of a rusty colour, which is perfect for September & Autumn. It, like most Color Club holos, stamps beautifully & opaquely, so it would be perfect for a stamped leaves manicure!

We don’t have a lot of places around here which still sell Color Club consistently, but I did find it available on Harlow & Co, so she is still available for purchase it looks like if you wanted to get your hands on this pretty polish!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE AUGUST (2024) —Plants 🌿🌱

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! I know, how long has it been since I did a Monday post. But I’m really excited for August because I am dedicated to doing another round of Glam Nails Challenge & this month is the month! So let’s go!

The first prompt of the month is plants. & I thought it was the perfect reason to break out these Born Pretty Store holographic stickers I had in my collection! These pretty tropical leaves stickers were the perfect look for my first prompt of Glam Nails Challenge August.

The polishes I used for this manicure are: 

  • Base Coat: LA Colors Mega Grow Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • Essie U Wish
  • Born Pretty Store Holographic Tropical Leaves Stickers

How pretty are these stickers! I received these for review forever ag0 ( I think right when I got pregnant with my daughter) so I never got a chance to really review them because I got so sick. They’re easy to apply–the trick is you really have to make sure you press down hard on them, & there is no air bubbles or gaps.

The gold looks so nice against the burnt red of Essie U Wish. I quite enjoy this combo. I tried to get a picture of these in the sunshine, but the holographic effect almost did a disservice to the manicure. But they’re very fun! In fact, it’s reminding me I’m going to need to order some Autumn/Halloween nail stickers from NailStuff.ca very, very soon!
