Easter Mini Egg Nails

Is there anything more Easter-y than  Cadbury Mini Eggs? Well, I mean back in the day when they only came out at Easter. Sadly my lactose intolerance has come back since having the little one, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love those delicious chocolate eggs (it just means I can eat them.) & since I won’t be enjoying them in my Easter basket this year, I thought I would continue the tradition of recreating them again on my nails. (I did mini egg nails previously in 2015 here & 2016 here

For this mani, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Cutex Quick Dry Top Coat
  • Matte Top Coat: L’Oréal the Matte Velvet top coat.
  • China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin
  • Hard Candy Sky
  • OPI Getting Nadi On My Honeymoon
  • Revlon Minted
  • Nubar New Mood
  • Essie Cocoa Karma
  • Wet N Wild 2% Milk
  • Crinkled Up Plastic Wrap

I’ve been doing these nails every year and I love how each time year turn out differently depending on the polishes and techniques used. I also think it’s because they’re just so easy to do, but it looks fantastic & just the right amount of festive! But fair warning: they will make you crave chocolate mini eggs. & if you can’t eat chocolate that could become problematic. Haha.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Spring dotticure.

Is there anything better than starting your day with pretty polka dot nails and a soy latte? Wearing Essie Haute as Hello which is my new favourite coral for Spring, with polka dots of Sally Hansen I ❤️ Nail Art pen in White and OPI My Favourite Ornament.

I love how much these nails scream Spring! 🌻 what’s your favourite colour for Spring? I’m really loving corals and pinks right now!

Glittery half moons featuring NOPI polishes.

The other night I visited my local Lawtons who have a large selection of their Nicole by OPI polishes on sale for $4.99–so naturally I needed to add a few to my stash.

For the mani I used:

  • Nicole by OPI I’ll have the Salmon (peach)
  • Nicole by OPI I lilac Gumdrops (purple)
  • Nicole by OPI Make a Comet-ment (extra glitter)
  • Essence French Manicure top guides.
  • Seche Vite Quick Dry top coat.

I’m loving combining glitter and crepes in half moons/colour blocks lately. Plus you know how I feel about glitter. 💖💖💖

Candy Corn Gradient Nails!

IMG_0713

Tis the season… for Halloween nails!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and has been since I was a kid, so I always look forward to Halloween–especially because there is nothing better than a Halloween manicure! Last year, I made my first attempt at Candy Corn nails—except I did the colour in the wrong pattern! I wanted to give them another go, and figured the best way to do so was in a candy corn gradient.

The polishes I used for the manicure were:

  • Sinful Colors Easy Going — white/cream base.
  • Essence Color and Go Polka Holga — orange gradient.
  • Essence Color and Go Wake Up! — orange gradient.
  • China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin –yellow gradient.
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow — yellow gradient.
  • ACO by Ardene Meteorite — glitter.
  • Essie Good to Go Top Coat.

I absolutely ADORE how this gradient turned out. Sometimes gradients can be a hit or miss for me, but I was absolutely in love with this one. It really looked like little candy corn on my nails, and it was super easy to do! (Please ignore the boo-boo on my middle finger–I’m such a klutz sometimes.) Also, I’m really loving the new graffiti top coats that ACO by Ardene has just released–they have them in a whole assortment of different colors, so I had to try them out! This one (Meteorite) really complimented my candy corn gradient, and I think brought the whole look together. =)

Do you have a favorite Halloween manicure you love to do?

Gradient Dotticure.

Okay… I’m getting a little bit repetitive with my nail art. I’m still on a dotting kick. This is another manicure which I’ve been wanting to do but hadn’t gotten around to trying it. Since I’ve been playing around with my dotting tools a lot I decided why not give it a try!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
  • Sinful Colors Thimbleberry.
  • Sinful Colors Island Coral.
