Vampy Autumn Roses

Hello lovelies & happy Monday!

& hello to anyone new discovering this little blog of mine! I had some crazy traffic to my little corner of the internet last week, so I’m happy to welcome you to my little nail blog. ❤️

Today we’re starting off Monday right with some new nails. & I realized the other day it had been ages since I did any floral on my nails, so some vampy roses seemed appropriate.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure
  • OPI Infinite Shine Bring Out The Big Gems
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Red It Twice
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri The Queens Velvet
  • NYC Color Lexington Lilac
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald
  • NailStuff dotting tool trio
  • NailStuff 7mm Mermaid Tail liner brush

Okay first off — I decided to paint these at 9:30pm in very minimal light, so I’m shocked they turned out as good as they did! Because trying to see those roses on this dark base colour was a challenge, I won’t lie.

Secondly, I’m obsessed! Everytime I do floral I remember why I love wearing floral so much. It’s like me in a manicure. & these vampy roses—as challenging as they were to paint—just look so beautiful against the dark jewel toned based of OPI Bring Out The Big Gems. Just perfect for a gloomy November day.

What do you think of my vampy roses? Do you like them against this dark gloomy base? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Enjoy your Monday!

Pink Stamped Reindeer Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Monday!

Hope everyone is well caffeinated. Today I’m starting off the beginning of this week with some fun stamped sweater nails. It’s been quite a while since I last pulled out my stamper, & this time of year always makes me want to use it more often.

Today’s stamping plate combo is one I’ve used before, but I love the sweater print with the reindeer head. I also pulled a polish shade from deep, deep in my stash (definitely pre 2009) but it still applies like a dream! You’ve got to love that.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • NYC Color Lexington Lilac
  • Revlon Iconic
  • Starrily Vantablack
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping plate BP-L032 (item #23268)
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping plate BP-L018 (item #19373)
  • NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper (COFFEE10 saves you 10% site wide!)

I had totally forgotten about this pretty polish. I picked it up years & years ago, I think at Zellars (for my fellow Canadians, who remembers Zellars?!) & probably only wore it once or twice. I also really like this untraditional sweater colour scheme. Sometimes, even this time of year, I just really feel these pale muted colours.

Also be prepared to see this stamped reindeer head over the next couple months, because it’s one of my favourites!

What do you think about this stamped design? Do you love this colour scheme as much as I do? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a happy Monday!

#GlamNailsChallengeOct — Bats

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! Can you believe we are so close to the end of October? Seriously… where did October even go? I can’t believe that it’s almost Halloween. I seriously want to petition to make Halloween a whole week instead of just one day. It’s just over too quickly!

We’re also down to our second last design for GlamNailsChallengeOct! Today’s prompt is Bats. While I would have loved to freehand some cute bats on my nails, after my first attempt, I knew it was going to end up being super frustrating & I decided to pull out some nail stickers to create my cute Halloween look.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • NYC Color Frightening Fingers in Red
  • Essie Shine Of The Times
  • Dollarama Halloween Nail Stickers

Aren’t these super cute?

I was actually really impressed with these nail stickers. While I don’t wear them a lot, they’re great to grab for a quick nail art look. These particular stickers were bought at my local Dollarama, while picking up Halloween decorations, & they stick to the nail really well. I wore this look through a long day at work, & I didn’t have them peel off or stick off the nail at all. Granted, I applied two coats of top coat, but even still you can’t even feel the sticker on the nail. I love it! & I also love the little bit of glitter on the stickers. They’re actually some of the cuter stickers I’ve used.

What do you think about this nail art look? Do you ever use nail art stickers? Which brand are your favourites? Let me know in the comments below!

A Peek into My Stash — Part Two.

Today I have for you the second part of my stash posts. After this, I’ll only have one more drawer of my five to photograph. Even though it’s been a bit of work taking pictures of everything, and writing them down, I’m really glad that I have. Now, whenever I’m feeling nail art, I’ll know exactly what polishes I have to work with!
And now onto the polishes…
