Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! Can you believe that we’re already halfway through the month? That much closer to Fall. I even saw (& bought) some pumpkin spice Silk creamer for my coffee the other day. That’s how you know Autumn is quickly approaching — it’s pumpkin spice everywhere.
So obviously that means I’ve been reaching for my more Autumn-y shades more & more often. & that’s when I realized I had some beautiful PR shades in my stash from NailStuff.ca that I had totally blanked on sharing! & since they are some amazing shades perfect for Fall, I thought there was no time like the present to finally share them!
Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! I’m super excited to share some beautiful PR I received recently! As I mentioned in this post, this collection is a collaboration between Essie & Révolutionnaire.co, a brand & platform committed to celebrating diversity and inclusivity, and fighting for social justice.
The two gave teamed up with Essie for a beautiful collection of Expressie shades — Take the Espresso, Cold Brew Crew, Buns Up, Millennium Momentum, Daily Grind, & Always Transparent. This was my first experience with the Expressie line, which is an 8-free, vegan formula, formulated without any nasty ingredients that can sometimes be found in nail polishes.
Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! & happy first day of Fall! It’s true — Summer is officially over. Which means we are just that much closer to Halloween.
Today I thought I would celebrate the occasion with some plaid nails. This has basically become a yearly tradition (in fact, I posted another plaid on this date last year), & this year I decided on some neutral toned plaid.
I decided to go with China Glaze The Snuggle Is Real for my base shade, because bit is such a lovely neutral, & then added the little bits of pink & maroon for accents. I think this colour scheme is a perfect every day plaid look, & I got so many compliments on it when I wore it to work! It was very exciting.
What do you think about this plaid look? Do you enjoy plaid nails for Fall? What plans do you have to celebrate Autumn? Let me know in the comments below!
Good morning lovelies & happy February! It’s officially the month of love. 💗 But before I jump headfirst into all pink, all the time, I thought I would share a look a I created a week or so ago, when I was feeling the grey January blahs.
Today’s look started out as just a grey smooshy design, which was lovely, but looked like the perfect base from some tile inspired nails! So I pulled out one of my many stamping plates I don’t use nearly enough, & switched things up!
Seriously, how pretty is this greyscale look? I love how the base isn’t super in your face, & then the black really pops against it. Completely achieves the look I was trying to accomplish, & who wouldn’t want tile like this in their house? I know I certainly would! Plus it looks gorgeous posed against the greenery in my background (a plant shelf at work, right beside the window — the perfect nail art background!)
What do you think about this greyscale quatrefoil design? Would you wear something like this?
Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! I hope everyone is well caffeinated. Today I’m sharing my current nail art obsession: leopard print!
Not going to lie, I’ve been obsessed with leopard print a long, long time. I used to own the most amazing leopard print dress during my teenage years — sadly I have no idea what happened to it, but it was glorious. Now a days, I don’t have much leopard print in my closet, which is even more of an excuse to wear it on my nails! (& maybe go shopping…).
Oh man, I really really love how these turned out. Obviously, with my nails being sort of short right now, I need to find cute looks I can wear on my nails. Small delicate designs like this work really well on short-length nails.
Can you tell I’m really, really obsessed with Essie Kaf-tan right now? It’s so funny because I didn’t think it was a colour that was all that “Me” but I can’t help but reach for it for every design I do right now. It’s just such a fun, unique colour for my stash. & it’s definitely going to be a Fall shade staple for me! Which means I’d better in go get myself another bottle then!
What do you think about this leopard print look? Are you digging this pattern right now? Let me know what you think down in the comments below!
