Instagram Summer Treats Nail Art Collab 🍦

Hello lovelies — happy Friday. We have a weekend of rain in the forecast, which I’m so happy for because my entire province has basically been on fire this week, & we’re in desperate need of a reprieve from the heat. So everyone send rain vibes. 🌧️

Today, though, I’m sharing a look I did a week or so back for a nail art collab I joined! You might remember I did another one last month, & it was so much fun I thought I’d do it again! This time the theme was Summer Treats. & my favourite treat of the Summer: ICE CREAM!

This is actually a recreation of a design I did all the way back in June 2016. I loved it so much the first time, I thought it would be perfect for this nail art collar — with some updates! I love the neon ice cream, I love my glitter “sprinkles”. I just think this whole look turned out too, too cute!

Instagram Floral Collab 🌸🌿

This design took so many polishes to create, but it was absolutely worth it. & I think I remembered all the shades I used for this design. There was quite a few of them.

I was so excited to be a part of this collaboration & join so many talented nail artists. I really love challenging myself like this, because sometimes it’s hard to come up with designs all on my own.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE APRIL — Butterfly 🦋

Hello lovelies & happy May 1st! Can you believe we’re almost half way into this year? It’s crazy. But before I jump head first into a new month, I want to finish off Glam Nails Challenge April with the last prompt — Butterfly.

There were so many ideas that popped into my head with this prompt, but in the end I decided I wanted to do a neutral, almost naked, base with a little sparkle & shimmery butterflies. & I’m so beyond happy with the end result.

How pretty did these turn out. I just knew I wanted my butterflies to have a little bit of colour & I adore the shimmery purple & green together. It’s a very pretty combination. Works very well with the little bit of holographic glitter on the base shade. It’s subtle but also eye catching at the same time.

I’m kind of obsessed!

I can’t believe another month is behind us! Kind of crazy. I had so much fun with the challenge this month, & I hope you enjoyed all the manicures too!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE APRIL — Easter Chicks 🐣

Hello beauties & happy Wednesday!

It’s also the second prompt of Glam Nails Challenge April! & we’re keeping with our Easter trend with Easter Chicks! 🐥

Now when I think of Easter chicks, my mind immediately goes to Peeps — you know, those squishy marshmallow chicks that I feel like are a VERY controversial Easter candy. But since I wasn’t confident in my ability to freehand some peeps, I decided to go with these cute chick Easter decals I got a few years ago.

How cute are these little chick decals & daisy nail art stickers? I added the little black dots for eyes myself. Definitely Spring/Easter vibes. & yes I’m not done with speckled nail vibes yet — maybe in a few days. Haha. But for right now, I’m just going to stare at cute speckled nails & obsess over them.

Also just have to do a cute shout out because today is my 9th Blog-aversary! I swear, I always forgot that it’s coming haha so once again I forgot to do a special blog post. But I still want to celebrate because an almost decade of anything is reason to celebrate.

So happy birthday Coffee & Nail Polish. 🎂

Glam Nails Challenge December — Christmas Decorations

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! I hope everyone — especially my fellow retail workers — are having a lovely & not too stressful week. It’s seriously crazy that it’s only 4 days until Christmas Day. I can’t believe how quickly this month is going by… & this year.

Next up we have a fun prompt for Glam Nails Challenge December: Christmas Decorations. I decided to go with a classic Christmas decoration, & created these beautiful sparkly Christmas light design.

& as I mentioned in my previous post, I’m back to my super shorties. Not ideal–& super sad because I was hoping to get to the new year with that fabulous length–but it is what it is, so I’ll just have to come up with some cute short nail looks for the rest of this month!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week so far, & not getting too stressed out with any last minute wrapping, or (like me) shopping they need to get done this week. Stores are busy, people are a bit crazy, so hopefully everyone has time to sit back & enjoy a hot chocolate or Irish coffee, & relax a little bit!
