St Patrick’s Day Rainbows 🌈🍀

Hello my loves, & Happy St Patrick’s Day! I

t’s another quiet year, obviously, but I had to do something fun on my nails. I had this image in my head of a rainbow over a pretty green, & I think that the end result turned out exactly how I had pictured. I even managed to sneak in a little holo too.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • Top Coat: Essie Good to Go
  • Wrenn Polish I Know Guac Is Extra
  • Deborah Lippmann It’s Raining Men
  • Essie Sunshine State Of Mind
  • Essie Check Your Baggage
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Sally Hansen Cerulean
  • Essie No More Film
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Va Va Violet
  • Starrily Eclipse
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

I love how these turned out, even though they were super time consuming haha. Who know 7 stripes of colour could be so much work. I also totally did my colours backwards, but you know what… I still think they’re awesome, & I hope you do too! & of course, I had to add a little holo to really bring my rainbow to life!

SWATCH SUNDAY — B01 Pistache Royale

Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a lovely start to their day so far. I definitely need an extra coffee today! But at least my nails are pretty!

Today I’m channeling & calling for Spring with my Swatch Sunday pick from L’Oréal: Pistache Royale. It’s been way too chilly & Winter-y, so we need some serious Spring vibes happening (& some warmer temperatures would also be lovely.) I found this beauty at my local Lawton’s in the clearance, along with a few other Spring-y shades I might have to go back for!

2 coats + Essie Good to Go Top Coat

The L’Oréal Colour Riche line touts that it is “a unique formula infused with 4 precious oils for mirror shine and rich colour with an easy, one-stroke application.” The brush is nice & wide, so it does go on pretty easier. The formula is also quite buttery, which I love because it makes for very smooth application.

The colour is very beautiful, a stunning minty pastel green that is perfect for Spring. I was also happy that it was beautiful coverage in 2 coats, because I think we all know that pastels aren’t the greatest ones for full coverage, & can sometimes be chalky, but Pistache Royale had neither problem. It was downright perfect!

Look at that shade — is it giving anyone else mini chocolate chip ice cream vibes? My husband said it reminded me of Mini Eggs, so I’ll definitely have to add it to me yearly mini egg inspired manicure come Easter time.

What do you think of L’Oréal Pistache Royale? Is it giving you the same Spring vibes it’s giving me? Let me know in the comments below!

#GlamNailsChallengeFeb — Plants 🪴

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday. I’m totally late posting this manicure thanks to a crazy work weekend! But late is better than never.

The next promo for #glamnailschallengeFeb is plants! & I am definitely plant obsessed, so I was excited for this prompt. Plus anything floral or plant related are definitely favourites for me to create on my nails. For this particular look, I decided to go with my pothos & philodendrons for inspiration.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • Top Coat: Essie Good to Go
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Matte Top Coat
  • Quo by ORLY Planita
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Essence The Green & The Grunge
  • Essie First Timer
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush(COFFEE10 to save 10%)

Oh man, I love a dainty manicure, & I feel like these vine-y leaves are super dainty & beautiful. They were also super easy to do… well relatively easy to do. You just have to kind of work with your brush, & it really makes it easier to create the leave shape.

Also how perfect does this design look against my heart leaf philodendron. It was the perfect prop for my photos! He loves in our living room window in one of my macrame hangers, & gives my morning coffee some serious jungle vibes. 🪴 I love him.

What do you think about this plant design? Do you think I nailed the prompt? Let me know what your favourite plant is down in the comments below!

Christmas Eve Ornament Nails

Hello lovelies & Merry Christmas Eve! Hope everyone is having a not too stressful start to their Christmas (or December 24th, for those who don’t celebrate.)

Today I have one final pre Christmas look to share with you — some Christmas ornament nails. This is actually a recreation/new take on a design I did five years ago. I thought a new version would be a fun design!

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shiny Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Almond Tan
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Five Golden Blings
  • Icing Emerald City
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Random icky green (haha)
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Can’t Beet Royalty
  • Starrily Diamond Rain
  • Zoya Ray
  • Starrily Vantablack
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush (COFFEE10 saves you 10%!)
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

I’m actually obsessed with these. They turned out so perfect—-better than I had even imagined! I really wanted to do some kind of ornament design, & these just turned out so cute. I also didn’t have a ton of time to do my nails, & all the painting was (relatively) quick! Also I’m super proud of my teeny tiny little designs on the ornaments themselves, mostly because I was stumped on what designs to even put!

It’s the perfect Christmas Eve design, especially for the hours of wrapping I have to do tonight after the kids go to bed! Haha.

I hope everyone has the most lovely next couple days filled. I know this year is so much different than Christmas past, & so many people are away from the people they love most, but I’m sending love to all, & wishing no matter your situation, your days are filled with peace.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays lovelies! 💗🎄

#GlamNailsChallengeDec — Christmas Tree 🎄

Good morning & happy Christmas Eve Eve. 2 more days until Christmas—can you believe it? Are you ready? Our tree is decorated, our presents still need wrapping, & hopefully we have all the fixings for Christmas dinner haha. But my nails… my nails are definitely ready!

Today’s prompt for #GlamNailsChallengeDec is Christmas Tree, & I took some inspiration from a few designs I saw on Instagram for this dainty tree accent nail. This design has a little bit of everything — stamping, glitter, some teeny tiny freehanding. I’m super proud of how they turned out!

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shiny Top Coat
  • Rimmel London 60 Second Camouflage
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Essence Give It Nude, Baby!
  • Starrily Vantablack
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate (sadly no longer available)
  • NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper (COFFEE10 saves you 10%)
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Check out the close up of this accent nail!

I started off by stamping the Christmas tree pattern onto the nail with Essie Off Tropic, which isn’t perfect for stamping but worked. Then I went in with Camouflage & filled in some spots on the trees. Next I took my teeny micro detail brush from NailStuff.ca, & drew in the brand details over top. & finally, I used some glitters from my bottle of ORLY Glitterbomb to add a little bit of sparkle on top (which I think really completes the whole look!)

& of course, I needed a shot of my nails & my Christmas tree (& Batman ornament!)

What do you think of this Christmas tree look? Is this a cute Christmas Day look? Are you ready for Christmas? Let me know in the comments below!
