Purple Triangle Geometric Accent Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! The weekend is almost here.

Today’s nail art look is feeling unintentionally Autumn inspired, even though I swear I’m still in a Summer state of mind. I was feeling more nail vinyls, & remembered these geometric triangle vinyl as I still had from TheBaseCoat, & knew I needed to put them to good use.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • OPI Infinite Shine Sound of Vibrance
  • OPI Infinite Shine Mariachi Makes My Day
  • OPI Cannoli Wear OPI
  • OPI Press * For Silver
  • The Base Coat Vinyls
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

I really didn’t think these nails were going to lean so dark & Autumn, but that’s okay — I love them anyways. I would have done all my nails with my vinyls, but I’m starting to get low with this pattern—it’s one of my favourites—& they’re not in production any more.

It just looks so cute! & I added the little tiny dots as accents, & I think it just gives it something a little extra. Yes, early Autumn vibes — but I’m not mad about it! It’s just a little taste.

What do you think of this accent nail design with these geometric triangle vinyls? Are you a fan of accent nail art like this? What kind of nail art are you loving right now?

Neon Stained Glass (featuring Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Collection)

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! It’s a fantastic Friday here… especially since the countdown to our family vacation has officially hit one week, & I could not be more excited! It’s also been hot & beautiful this week, meaning I’m all about the neon. Good thing I reverently received a fun package from Sally Hansen, huh? I wanted to create a beautiful stained glass inspired look since the formula on the shades I received would be perfect for it… & I was not disappointed.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • Sally Hansen MG Toadally Buggin’
  • Sally Hansen MG Did I Blue That?
  • Sally Hansen MG Nostalchick
  • Sally Hansen MG Beet Me At The Mall
  • Sally Hansen MG Mixtape
  • Sally Hansen Instadri Ghouls Night Out
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Liner Brush

I’m not going to lie, I’m absolutely obsessed with this nail art look. I wore it from Tuesday to Thursday, & was actually sad to take it off! This is not my first version of this design, but it might be my most favourite I’ve done.. at least in a while! The colours blended so beautifully together, & I think my lines turned out really good. Anytime I freehand a clean line manicure, I always feel some crazy pride!

Especially since it doesn’t always happen, haha.

Barbiecore Nails 💗

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I hope everyone’s week went went. It’s been a busy one for us. I feel like this whole month is speeding by quickly! It feels like Summer is almost half over; just crazy.

Today I’m pumped to show off a fun new design, just in time for the Barbie movie being released next week. Barbiecore nails have been all over my Instagram & Pinterest, so I needed to try out the theme for myself. I don’t wear all pink nails on their own too, too often, but maybe I should. These nails were very, very fun to wear!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Londontown KUR Nail Hardener & Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Olive & June Long Lasting Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Neons Fuchsia Fever
  • Sally Hansen MG Neons Floresc-pink
  • Sally Hansen MG Lilac Insomniac
  • Born Pretty Stamping Plate — no longer available
  • NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper

This pattern is reminding me of the dress Totally Hair Barbie wears, which was definitely inspired by Margot Robie’s look on the Barbie promotion tour. I thought the pattern would definitely give off 90s Barbie vibes, which was the look I wanted to portray with this manicure. I wanted you to look at it & your mind just immediately go to Barbie… which I think I managed to accomplish!

Plus it gave me an excuse to pull out some older Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Neons which was great timing because I just received a PR package featuring the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s collection! & I can’t wear to play around with those asap.

What do you think of this Barbiecore nail design? Are you a fan of the current Barbiecore trend? Are you looking forward to seeing the new movie?

Purple & Gold Matte Geometric Stripes

Hello loves & Happy Tuesday.

Anyone else feeling the full on February blahs? I feel like it’s translating to my nails, because post-Valentine’s Day, I’m struggling to think of what to wear on my nails! Too early to go too hard on the Spring looks, but I don’t really want to do Winter designs either.

I am feeling stumped.

But you know what never fairs me? My striper brush. I had painted my nails & thought about doing a single gold line — like this — but decided I was feeling something a bit more abstract so that’s what we went with! & I love how they turned out, especially with the addition of the matte top coat.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Matte Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Trouble Maker
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Goldie Rocks
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

How beautiful is this dark purple & gold together? I’m kind of sad that Trouble Maker was discontinued from the Sally Hansen CSM line, because it’s such a beautiful perfect purple. & my bottle is starting to sadly get low. That’s the hardest part of being a nail polish addict… you find those polishes that you love to wear so much, & they never stick around forever. Although Essie Kimono Over is a close second in my heart, so at least I still have her for my dark purple craving days!

What do you think about this purple & gold geometric look? Are you a fan of these kinds of designs, or do you prefer a bit more complicated nail art? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below, & what nail art you think that February calls for!

Have a lovely day!♥︎

Geometric Colour Blocking (Autumn inspired)

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far. The excessively humid heat we’ve been having here seems to have broken, & the weather has that hint of Fall weather that always starts around the end of August.

I’m so ready for Sweaters, scarves & my favourite knee high boots.

& Fall nail art, of course.

I’m already making plans for September nail art & joining in for next month’s Glam Nail Art Challenge. But, in the mean time, I’m feeling a little more creative than I’ve felt most of this Summer. & today’s nail art look is a fun nail art look that makes me feel like old school nail art Shannon (circe 2015-2016).

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter
  • Quo Beauty Tint of Mint
  • Quo Beauty Whistler
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Zip Wine
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Petal to the Metal
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

Okay, so I’m obsessed. Originally this look started off as just a Autumn themed colour block, but I felt like something was missing — which happens a lot. I added an outline of the rose gold (Petal to the Metal) & then decided to get risky & add a few chevrons over the mint. It looked so good, I did the same thing on the block of grey, & tada! Freehand nail art perfection!

& all done completely freehand.

What do you think of this Autumn toned geometric colour block? Are you feeling the Autumn shades yet, or are your strictly Summer until September? Let me know what you think, & what nail art/nail polish collections you’re looking forward to this upcoming season!
