Mani swap with @dsetterfield74!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday night! I’m once again delayed on posting, but here is the mani swap I did with the ever so talented  Dianna (@dsetterfield74) on Instagram!

For this swap, Dianna recreated my matte chevron moons I did back in the Fall, and I recreated her red and gold swirl nails. I had a hard time picking from her assortment of beautiful manicures, but I just loved the gold and red too much not to choose it!

I didn’t have the stamping plate that Dianna used, so I decided to recreate the swirls freehand. It could have ended as an epic nail polish fail, but thankfully it turned out super close to its inspiration! (Thank goodness! No one likes a nail fail.)

For this mani, the polishes I used were:

  • Essie A-List
  • Icing NYE
  • Essie Shine of the Times
  • Essence Black Is Back
  • gold studs (from Born Pretty Store)
  • Small nail art brush (also from Born Pretty)
  • Essie Good to Go

So what do you think of this mani swap? I’m having a lot of fun swapping with all these amazing nail artists!

Mani Swap with @polished_yogi

Hello Lovelies! I meant to share a couple of mani swaps I did earlier in the week, but work and life (and now sickness) got in the way. Better late than never though, right?

First up is the mani swap I had the pleasure of doing with @polished_yogi! Stefanie is one of the super talented ladies I’ve made friends with on Instagram, so I was super excited to get to swap with her.

For this mani swap, I recreated Stefanie’s adorable little hedgehogs and she recreated my recent pink and chevron mani.

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Revlon Minted
  • OPI How Great is you Dane
  • Essie Moccachino
  • Essie Caoco Karma
  • Essie Take it Outside
  • Sally Hansen I 💗 Nail Art pen in Pink
  • Sally Hansen I 💗 Nail Att pen in Red
  • Essie Good to Go
  • Butter London Matte top coat.
  • Small nail art brush from Born Pretty.

Words cannot begin to describe how much I love this mani. Those cute little hedgehogs…. Oh how I love them! I didn’t want to take this mani off at all. I also think it’s a perfect start to my Valentines Day Nails.

Stay tuned because I have another mani swap to share with you!

Pink and Purple Drag Marble

More purple and pink?! I know, I know… I just can’t be stopped. But it is pretty much my favourite colour combination of all time.

For the mani, the polishes I used were:

  • Quo by Orly Purple Passion
  • Essie The Girls Are Out
  • Essie Good to Go
  • Smallest size dotting tool.

I’m loving the combo. Both Purple Passion and The Girls  Are Out have such a pretty glitter that compliments the other so well… Like they’re just meant to be paired together in a 1000 manis!
What’s your favourite colour combinations? Pink and purple are pretty much #1 for me, and pink and blue is pretty high up there too. Think I might need to start playing around with some new ones… Any suggestions for me?

Bestie Twin Valentines Day nails with @mynailpolish_addiction

Happy Monday…and February 1st! You know what that means…. Time to start the Valentines Day manicures! Starting off with some bestie twin nails I did with my my girlie @mynailpolish_addiction. It’s become our tradition to do bestie twin nails every holiday, and so I was super excited for us to come together for Valentines Day Nails.
This time, we created manicures based on this napkin I saw last year and really wanted to recreate!   When I showed Jessica she was totally up for the challenge and both manis turned out so awesome!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • OPI My Chiuhuha Bites
  • OPI I Canolli Wear OPI
  • Deborah Lippmann Between the Sheets.
  • Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art pens in white, red & pink.
  • Essie Good to Go
  • Born Pretty small nail art brush.

So what do you think of this manicure? Are you a fan of Valentines Day? Personally, I’m strictly in it for the nail art possibilities. Plus any chance to wear red or pink on my nails is a good thing in my books!

Have a great Monday! 💗

Colour blocking sideways chevrons (inspired by @lenareitz)

Good Evening!

I’ve had a busy day so I’m big late on posting, but I really wanted to share this colour blocking mani because I just love how it turned out! I was inspired by @lenareitz who posted a negative space sideways colour block that was just stunning.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI!
  • China Glaze Jungle Queen
  • Essie Where’s my Chauffeur?
  • Essie Good to Go
  • My Nails Did Right Angle Chevron nail vinyls.

I just love that pop of turquoise against the purples. I also debated making these matte but love how they look with gloss.

I’m trying to play around with new designs and styles to keep things different! Only so many ways you can do chevron moons haha.

If you have any suggestions for manicure ideas, let me know in the comments below! I’m currently saving some fun Valentines ideas to tackle!
