GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER— Jack O Lantern 🎃🎃

Good morning lovelies & happy Wednesday! It’s halfway to the weekend, a little more than halfway to Halloween — it’s a good day! Today we’re continuing with our manicures for Glam Nails Challenge October, & the next prompt is Jack O Lantern.

Now, I know I literally just posted a manicure using nail art stickers, & I really try not to post the same kind of nail art two posts in a row. But when I saw the next prompt for Glam Nails Challenge, I knew that I had to use these Jack O Lantern nail art stickers stickers, even if I was repeating.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
  • ‘Ard As Nails Not Your Mama’s Pumpkin Spice
  • Dollarama Halloween Nail Art Stickers

First off, excited to be wearing this gorgeous ‘Ard As Nails shade again as its name is perfect for this theme! It has a fun hint of holo glitter, & the pumpin-y orange fits right in. & then these stickers — how freaking cute as these stickers?! Nail Art stickers really are the answer to easy nail art, & I love them. These ones, like my previous manicure, were purchased c/o: my local Dollarama store (I think last year) but you can find lots of cute Halloween nail art stickers at places like NailStuff.ca — she just got in a bunch of new arrivals — & Amazon. I’ve also seen this Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers stickers at my local Walmart as well.

I’m definitely already getting excited to stock up on some for Christmas as well!

What do you think of this Jack O Lantern design? Do you think that Halloween stickers make for a great nail art look? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below! & stay tuned because we only have a few more Glam Nails Challenge nail art looks to go.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER— Skull 💀

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! It’s a brand new week, & we’re officially half way through October. This month is just speeding by!

Today I’m excited to show off my next prompt for Glam Nails Challenge October — skull. For this look, I went super easy with the nail, but I still think this look turned out awesome!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
  • OPI Black Cherry Chutney
  • Starrily Eclipse
  • Dollarama Halloween Nail Art Stickers

I know I’ve shared before how much I love nail art stickers, & these Halloween themed ones I found at Dollarama (Canadian dollar store chain) are my absolute favourite!

I love love love a good skull design anyways, but I think the simplicity of the skull over the dark holographic base is just perfection. Spooky, but also quite chic. & I got lots of compliments on these when I wore them to work (matching in my favourite H&M skeleton dress).

What do you think about my skull design for Glam Nails Challenge October? Which design has been your favourite so far? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Monday 🖤

An Easy Halloween Glitter Gradient 🎃✨

Hello lovelies — it’s Friday! & I’m definitely happy for the weekend as it’s my birthday weekend. Today is also Friday the 13th, which for most is a scary day but Friday is my lucky day, & 13 is my lucky number. So I’m always excited for a Friday the 13th!

Today I’m taking a break from the Glam Nails Challenge designs for a quick & simple Halloween inspired glitter gradient.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri x Sour Patch Kids Pump-kid
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri x Sour Patch Kids Hallo-Queen

So you might remember, a few years ago, I did a similar idea using a darker base, so I thought it would be fun with this pumpkin orange as the base! Orange isn’t really a colour I’m drawn to frequently any other time of the year, but I do enjoy it around Halloween! & this is such a fun easy look that still gives off Halloween vibes without being obvious about it.

What do you think about this quick & easy glitter gradient? Are you a fan of orange polish? Let me know down in the comments below!

Purple & Gold Leopard Print (Recreation from 2014)

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! We’re officially mid-week, which means we’re just days away from October… how crazy is that? Wasn’t it just January?

I’m super excited though, because October is one of my all time favourite months for nail art, so I’m excited to get started on all sorts of spooky season nails. In the meantime, though, I have a fun nail art look which is a recreation of a nail art look I did all the way back in 2014. You know me, I love a good nail art recreation.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Belle of the Ball
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Ski Bunny
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Five Golden Blings
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

I’ve actually been planning on recreating this nail art look (which was originally inspired by perfectlynailedUK) for a while, but I was just waiting for the right moment. This colour scheme is very much an Autumn colour scheme. Also, I switched things up slightly for my recreation, but I think I’ve captured the overall essence of my original manicure quite well! & I love being able to look back on old designs & see how far my nails have come.

Leopard print is just such a fun design to wear, no matter the season. But the combination of gold & purple is perfect for this late September, pre-Halloween nail art season. & now that I’m (more or less) feeling back to myself, I’m excited to get back into all the fun nail art designs I love to wear this time of year! & plan for those spooky season manicures to come.

What do you think about this nail art recreation? Do you like how I updated this old design? Do you ever recreate nail art looks from the past to see how your nails have improved? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Happy Wednesday! ♥︎

Gold Dotted Moons (featuring OPI Lincoln Park After Dark)

Hello lovelies & happy Monday!

A beautiful Fall morning here on the East Coast. The sun is shining, the leaves are crunching under my boots; the perfect Autumn weather. So naturally, that meant I needed to find another Fall polish favourite for today’s nail art! &

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Quo by ORLY Color Amp’d Top Coat
  • OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Goldie Rocks
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

For this look, I wanted to create a kind of moon effect, but using polka dots instead of my usual way of doing them, & I think I was semi-successful. Some of my nails turned out a bit wonky, but over-all I think the intended effect came to fruition. Plus gold just pairs so well with the darkness of Lincoln Park After Dark. I think it’s a fun effect, & a little bit different than my usual gradient dotticures. Next time, though, I might try for smaller dots.

What do you think of these gold dotted moons? Do these nails give you all the Fall vibes? What is your all time favourite Autumn nail Polish? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a lovely Monday!
