GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE SEPTEMBER (2024) — Owl 🦉

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! Can you believe that we only have 2 more Glam Nails Challenge September prompts for this month? We’re very quickly approaching October & full blown spooky season, & I’m very excited. but we still have a few more days of September, & a couple more fun designs to share!

Today’s prompt is Owl & I decided to create this cute little owl accent nail.

I’m actually super surprised I’ve never attempted an owl accent nail before, but I think it turned out pretty cute! These colours just scream Autumn vibes too, which I’m here for. Over all, a cute easy little owl that fits the prompt perfectly! & I couldn’t be happier with it.

Sometimes all you need is just a cute little accent nail.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE SEPTEMBER (2024) — Rainy Weather 💦

Hello beauties & happy Monday!

Sorry for my quietness & lack of Swatch Sunday post yesterday — I’ve been dealing with the most horrendous allergies the last few weeks, & this weekend was especially brutal so I was basically a write off yesterday. As much as I love & adore Fall, I don’t love & adore how my seasonal allergies ramp up as soon as the season changes.

But I’m not going to let my allergies get in the way of the next post, because we only have a few more prompts left for this month’s Glam Nails Challenge. The next prompt is Rainy Weather, & I decided to go a little bit different for my design so I hope you like it!

Okay, so I’ve seen this look a few times & I thought it would be a cool idea for this rainy weather prompt. Basically you start with matte nails & then add “drops” of shiny top coat which is supposed to give the effect of like raindrops. Did I completely capture what I was going for? Well… you be the judge of that. But I think for a first try, this look did up coming out pretty cool & I do like it.

& it’s definitely something I want to try again in the future!

Crimson Stripes

Hello beauties & happy Friday! It’s officially the weekend (basically), & that means we need to cap off this week with some more nails. I’ve really been trying to do my nails as much as possible — both for the challenge this month, & then sneaking in some non-GlamNails nails as well.

Today’s look is a simple one, but I just love it because it’s been a while since I did stripes on my nails. & I just adore the subtle effect.

Oh man, I just love stripes! & these ones are subtle but then you get that sparkle from Moonlight & it shows up so well. I love it.

Plus, we all know I love a red nail moment. Red nails will forever be a favourite of mine, even when I’m like 80! I’m never ever going to grow tired of them. But it is fun to find a way to spice them up a little bit every so often.

What do you think of this crimson stripe look? Do you like it as much as I do? It feels like a good amount of Autumn vibes, which is perfect because our weather is finally feeling Fall-like again, after some seriously balmy temperatures. & considering how much I live for Fall fashion, I’ll take it.

Autumn Colour Blocking 🍁🍂

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I hope everyone is having the loveliest of Fridays… the weekend is almost here! I thought I would break up the Glam Nails Challenge content with something different. I’m full into the Autumn vibes now, so a Fall inspired colour blocking was exactly what I was feeling!

As I mentioned in my Swatch Sunday post, I’ve really been digging into my China Glaze stash lately & really loving all the polishes from Autumn collections past. So I pulled out a few Autumn shades to enjoy.

Don’t mind those bit of wrinkles — I may have been rushing a smidge when I was doing this mani, so I did muck it up just a smidge. But it still turned out beautifully, & I think these colours just go together so beautifully. I’m definitely going to need to remember this colour combo so I can use it again, maybe in a stripe or chevron look!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE SEPTEMBER (2024) — Plaid

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! & Happy Labour Day! We’re jumping right into the Autumn nail art designs with this month’s Glam Nails Challenge September.

I was debating whether or not I was going to do another month, but then my first design I did happened to be a plaid design — which is the first prompt of this month, so I was like… let’s just do this! I had so much fun last month while feeling challenged creatively, I think I want to give it another go. & this month definitely has some great prompts as well!

Does anyone else just immediately want to pull all the plaid out of their closet as soon as the mornings start feeling slightly cooler? I definitely do. I also want to paint plaid on my nails, because it just feels fitting. Pair these with a pair of over the knee socks, & the Autumn vibes are strong. I also feel like this is an easier, simpler design to do — albeit you do need a bit of a steadier hand for straight lines. But with a long striper brush, it does simplify the design a bit.

Definitely a design I recommend any beginner nail artist to try, & just trust the process. If you look at a plaid material, the pattern isn’t perfect so don’t worry about trying to make yours perfect. Sometimes the messier the better it turns out!
