Inspired by! My notebook. 

 As the saying goes, inspiration is everywhere. Today’s nails were inspired by the inside cover of one of my many notebooks. I was tidying the other day when I stumbled across it–the second I opened it up the first thing I thought was “I have to recreate that on my nails!” 

  

The polishes I used for this manicure were: 

  • Essie All Access Pass
  • OPI Angel With a Lead Foot
  • Essie Parka Perfect
  • China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint
  • QUO by ORLY Striper in White 
  • Seche Vite 

  

 I love love love how my accent nails turned out! I almost wish I had done all 10 nails with the chevron pattern! This mani just makes me so happy! I love how well the colours go together.

My first ever Instagram meet up! 

  This past weekend I got to take part in my first ever Nail Meet Up with my fellow Halifax nail bloggers! It so was exciting to get to meet up with the amazing fellow nail artists that are local!

It was so lovely to meet the fantastic ladies I follow on Instagram, and meet some new lovely girls as well! We talked all things polish and life in general which was just so much fun! It was really awesome to connect with people who don’t judge you for owning 800+ bottles of polish! 

  
 @thebasecoat was also super sweet and brought everyone a few goodies all wrapped up with pretty sparkly tissue paper (which my kitties loved rolling on–the were sparkling all day! Haha) In my gift bag I received a mini Finger Paints in a vibrant pink (no name) and China Glaze Lets Dew This from the new fall collection! Purple and blue sparkles?! My favourite! I have a feeling I’m probably going to be wearing this polish quite a bit this Fall. 

 

For the occasion I went with some chevron moons in purple and blue– my favourite colours and design! The polishes I used for this mani were: 

  • China Glaze December to Remember. 
  • OPI Suzy & the 7 Düsseldorfs 
  • Stripe Rite striping polish in Gold
  • QUO by ORLY Striper in black. 
  • Seche Vite

So nice to get to spend time with such fabulous ladies, and I definitely can’t wait for the next one!

Good morning Lovelies! Happy Monday! I’m lucky enough that it’s a semi-holiday Monday here in ole Halifax and I’m lucky enough to have the day off!

Inspired by Wonder Woman (v. 2)

 You might remember last Summer, I did some Wonder Woman inspired nails. Let’s. just call this take two. 🌟 
  
The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • OPI My Chihuahua Bites! 
  • Sinful Colours Endless Blue
  • QUO by ORLY Gold striping polish 
  • QUO by ORLY Black striping polish. 
  • Seche Vite.  

I created my chevron moons freehand.  I really need to create a tutorial to show you guys how I do it! It’s so simple and so much easier than taping everything off! (For me at least). Would you guys want a tutorial? Just let me know in the comments below! 💙❤️

 
So what do you think of this mani? I’ve coveted My Chihuahua Bites! for so long and I’m so happy it’s finally mine! Thank you Winners and your fantastic polish section.   And also this blue…. This blue. 😍😍😍 such a pretty blue! Now all I need is a star tiara and some bullet proof bracelets and I’ll be all set!

Neon Dry Brush and Chevron moons. 

Good morning lovelies! Today I have a fun and bright and colourful dry brush to share with you. It’s finally starting to feel like Spring after the harshed winter, so I am all about the Spring colours now! 

 

Who doesn’t love a good dry brush! The polishes I used for this design were: 

  • OPI Angel with a Leadfoot (white base)
  • OPI Unfrost My Heart (silver)
  • OPI Muppets World Tour (glitter)
  • China Glaze purple panic, Plur-ple, shocking pink, for Audrey, and Flip Flop Fantasy (dry brush) 
  • Zoya Blu (dry brush)
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in Black (chevron moon) 
  • Seche Vite 

And my midi ring is from Kristalized Designs.
