SWATCH SUNDAY β€” Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Pastel Punk Collection! πŸ’€πŸ’…πŸ»

Good morning lovelies! & happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow Moms out there. I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to their Sunday! I was up early enjoying so cold brew & finishing up today’s very special blog post featuring swatches of the brand new Sally Hansen Canada Pastel Punk Collection! This is a Canada Exclusive collection so apologies in advance to my international & American friends.

I received this 6 polishes collection from Sally Hansen themselves & the packaging was awesome. Not only were my polishes & Miracle Gel Top Coat wrapped up in the funky fanny pack you see above, but they included the cassette tape you see above… which is actually a USB! One of the cutest PR packages I’ve ever gotten in the mail!

Also that fanny pack is all kinds of nail art inspo!

PR SAMPLE

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel After Altar

2 coats + Miracle Gel Top Coat

This whole collection is giving me full on nostalgia, & After Altar is a perfect example of why. This creamy off white shade is the perfect Buffy-esque polish & I wish I had it when it was 12 instead of the chalky white out looking nail polishes I ended up filling my collection with back then. This is a perfect shade worn on its own, or used as a base for nail art. You’re safe to bet I’m going to be wearing this shade a lot. I’m already planning on picking up a few back up bottles!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shell-ebration

2 coats + Miracle Gel Top Coat

This pretty pink with coral under tones is such an amazing girlie shade. The formula applied pretty flawlessly & top coat gives it an amazing shine. I’m a sucker for a good coral & Shell-ebration is definitely fantastic. Just feels so Spring-y & refreshing.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Ocean Daze

2 coats + Miracle Gel Top Coat

Ooooh another beautiful polish that brings me back to my early polish loving days. You know how much of a sucker I am for a good blue & Ocean Daze is such a pretty pale pastel blue. Buffy would be proud. (& she would totally wear this shade herself!)

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Just Maui’d

2 coats + Miracle Gel Top Coat

Oooooh Just Maui’d is such a gorgeous periwinkle blue with shimmer. This was 2 coats & top coat, but I did have a wee bit of trouble with the application, not waiting long enough before applying my second coat which lead to some pulling on my first coat (which you can kind of see in my swatches). You definitely want to make sure your previous coat has dried enough before applying coat #2 so avoid the same issue (& ensure perfect opacity).

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel I Lava You

3 coats + Miracle Gel Top Coat

Oooooh this is such a pretty shimmer! I Lava You is one of those shades that needed 3 coats as it’s a more than a little sheer, but it looks amazing applied over some undies (especially Shell-ebration!) The shimmer is this shade is so good–you get flashes of gold & violet depending on the way you move your hand. Uggggh so good!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Golden Glow

2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat

Last but not lease I have Golden Glow, a fairly sheer gold with shimmer. This shade probably could have used 3 coats for full opacity, much like I Lava You. The pink shimmer in this shade comes out amazing on the nail & I’m really curious to see how one coat would look over other shades. Not a shade I wear a lot on its own (anymore), but as a base for nail art it would be amazing!

& that is the whole Sally Hansen Pastel Punk Collection! As I said before, this collection is a Canada exclusive collection. I found it at both Shoppers Drug Mart & Lawton’s, but I’m sure it can be found anywhere Sally Hansen is sold.

I’m pretty in love with all the shades, but if I had to pick I’d say After Altar & Ocean Daze are my absolute favourites.
